My Airedale died at 1 year due to complications from birth. I love seeing other peoples Airedales it brings me a lot of joy. Couldn't agree more, best breed ever. R.I.P. Tessa. Love you always.

I live in Sydney and hope to see some airedales at the easter show and maybe meet a breader. I cant recall ever actually seeing an Airedale but the more i look into the breed the more I want one.

my 12-year old airedale Samson is easily one of the best friends i have ever made. even though he may have his moments where he is a bit goofy, he is still loved by everyone in my family. and it will be a very sad day when he goes (which wont be for a while b/c he's still healthy).

So sorry to hear about Griffey. My parents breed, raise, and board Airedales and sometimes keep them long-term when they need a new home. They do get close to you; that is for sure!

my airdale is 9 years old and still perfectly healthy even though he does not like little kids like an old serious grandpa ... hopefully he'll still make it for a long time cannot think about the moment he passes away.

I adore this video and have seen it several times! Your Airedales and baby are all lovely! Our beautiful Airedale Tasso just died of a stroke, suddenly, two weeks ago, at age 11. We are devastated by it, but are now looking at adopting another Airedale. They are such great dogs, such great companions. Ours never hurt a fly, but I still would never have dared leave a baby like that play with his ears! One can't ever be 100% sure that he wouldn't just snap, even if he means no harm.

Great video! They are such a wonderful breed. Our 2 year old Poppy is just the happiest creature I've ever known. One note to anyone wanting an Airedale in the UK..please contact the dog rescue charities before you contact a breeder. We got our Old English that way as well as our Airedale. Save a dog and save your pocket too.

I used to be a breeder, had a whole pack at one time on my 8-acre property with ponds and a creek... including a huge alpha male that was highly aggressive to all other critters except humans, we thought nothing of letting our 6-year-old child roam the property with them for hours, they kept him safe for years and years. Best all-around dog, IMHO.

@natserog Thank you! We got both or our Airedales from one-off breeders in Devon, UK (although we now live in Australia), rather than from a well-known kennel/breeder. I know what you mean about the 'full-faced' Airedale look, which I love. Our Molly is most like this and is stockier, chunkier, more well built all over, and more curly/woolly (not so wirey). Her mum was exactly the same and you'd tell a lot form looking at the parents of a litter.

@natserog (cont) Molly was a cute and chunky little puppy too. Gertrude is more wirey and leaner, more leggy and with a more pointy face, but she is still very large and in fact taller than Molly, and again she was more like this as a puppy too. Look on the kennel club website for breeders in your area, but their are also several websites advertising puppy litters if you google it. Just check that the mum/dad have good hip-scores and preferably KC registered pups.

Boy, they are calm! My two girls are not mean, just fiesty, they would probably be playing tug of war with that baby! I love Airedales, they are the greatest dogs in the world, I adopted two sisters back in feb. , Bela and Baeden, and they are my pride and joy. They are the most hard-headed creatures on earth, but I love them.

What a lucky baby to have parents who have airedales! My son is now 15 and knows what unconditional love is, that airedales are always up for fun and that dogs get old. Valuable lessons. We took formal photo's, child and dogs all thru the years, once a year. Priceless!
