  • Because America is not socialist, bumb ass!

  • Abuse of socialized medicine, quality gone to hell along with wages for nurses, doctors, and all other occupations and industries associated with the Health care industry. This Governmentand their media will laugh us into the grave-THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT YOU!!!

  • Believe me, i live in Canada. Socialized health care is SHIT. Everyone with a cough or whatever goes and sees the doctor, people just abuse it like crazy.

I broke my arm and had to wait 3 days for a cast LMFAO. They killed my grandmother too.

The doctors are noobs too, they don't get payed well and they don't give a flying fuck about you.

  • If you want healthcare pay for it or use insurance, if you cant afford it forward this bill to a private collection agency. Even if your taxed for it you will have to pay remaining balances regardless. The tuff part is proving if someone can pay or not.

  • I love that were will the Canadians come for health care

  • I'm all for preventative [health] care, like as Huckabee talks about, but what about when you get into a surprise accident and your car crashes, you get internal bleeding, you break 50 bones, etc... you're going to need that hospital, no matter what. : |

btw, Ron Paul 2008 :) Because we won't be able to afford ANYthing if the dollar crashes...

  • People in the U.S. also go to Mexico for health care.

  • Why do U.S. citizens go to Mexico for health care?? Oh yeah counterfeit prescription medicine.

  • Fred Thompson shows his ignorance here.

  • I love these guys...no answers here...and they look really silly while not answering. Somebody should tell them the answers aren't there because the privatization of health care, brought to us by Ronald Reagan, will never work...it's a wealth transfer program to the rich and therefore to republican election caufers. Most know that...the rest are quickly learning.

  • Ron Paul is right, we can't do too much when all the funding is going to the war in Iraq. Well actually corporations are pocketing it but thats another story.

  • France is tops, and the United States dead last, in providing timely and effective healthcare to its citizens, according to a survey Tuesday of preventable deaths in 19 industrialized countries.

  • Ron Paul is my HERO!

  • ..........RON PAUL R[ƎVO˩]UTION 2008...........

If you like RON PAUL and want others to hear his message...

....Join your local "meet up" group......

It's the best way to support this movement and shift in global consciousness...The Time is NOW...

  • In response to the description, Ron Paul has already answered this. By getting rid of the income tax and weaning those who are able to support themselves off of the federal government, people would be able to buy insurance.

I know that if I got to keep what I pay in federal income taxes, I could afford much better health insurance. I'd be more inclined to donate to charitable hospitals as well.

  • So if we don't take the profit motive out of the insurance industry or make them compete with Medicaid how does the average person afford their own insurance? I have to disagree with you that he fully gave a good solution to the problem. He gave a partial one that would not solve it. Corporate greed and record profits above care is a large part of the problem and not only our war spending which I do agree with him is a problem.

  • Health care inflation is because of government involvement in the health industry. Government has mandated that employers provide insurance. This has driven up costs for anyone who can't get "free" health care through their employer which has caused 47 million uninsured. As usual a government policy to provide something for everyone has resulted in less people actually receiving it. You can't solve the problem unless you understand the causes of it.

  • Where has government mandated that employers provide insurance? That's just not true. I have insurance because my union negotiated it. My husband has none and is on mine and it sure as hell isn't "free". It's part of a wage package we negotiated and my pay check and our co-pays and premiums are skyrocketing due to people like myself making up for those with no insurance who go to emergency rooms. You're arguments are out of left field.

  • They don't mandate it by law but employers get huge tax breaks for providing care that individuals don't. This drives costs up for people who don't get insurance through their employer. When their costs go up they choose to go without insurance. Then you and I end up paying for their health care.

  • I agree with a small portion of your argument but that's not what Paul said in the video either, is it? Medicaid overhead is around 3%. Private insurance is over 20% for administrative costs. What you said here doesn't address that. Sometimes government can do some things better if the people running it don't want to prove it doesn't work, and line the pockets of their contributors by privatizing everything.

  • The real solution is to have everyone insured and the only one that can provide that is the government. Private insurance will go out of business if forced to compete openly with Medicaid.

  • The problem with your argument is assuming insurance companies are private. At the very least its a private-govt hybrid. Your right the insurance companies wouldn't be able to exist because they are propped up by government. Nowhere else but government do you get situations where the company will benefit by providing less to its customers.

  • The end-all answer to your question is personal accountability.

Contractors are already paying their own insurance since they aren't getting it through the company they are being paid by (not working for on salary). Somehow they're able to afford it and they aren't making 40% more than their salary working counterparts.

  • Lest we forget that companies still compete for workers and having good benefits is part of that. I don't know if the average person works salary or not, but a large number do.

  • Anyone else notice that none of the Candidates explain HOW they plan on fixing it, they just say whats wrong, whats wright or what MIGHT be causing the problem, but NOT ONE of the candidates offers their view on fixing the problem except Ron Paul.

I can't believe people look so down on Ron Paul when he's actually providing answers.. he might not have all the answers, but he sure as hell does a better job than any candidate at fixing them. Sad thing is, he won't win.

  • Next official money bomb is January 21st! Pass it on!

  • Being a MD, Ron Paul is the only qualified candidate to address health care. It's the inflation, stupid! The only doctor on the stage gets laughed at when describing solutions to the health care fiasco. This is why the Republicans will lose miserably in November if Ron Paul is not the nominee.

  • LOL KEEP TRYING! hahaha

  • Thompson was also the same person that had to ask his own crowd to give him a hands of applaud.

  • I don't understand what Thompson was so confused about. Maybe he would have understood the comments better if they were delivered in a political talking point. More politics and less content, thats what we need...

  • These candidates are actually learning things along the way from Ron Paul...the things they say lean more and more towards the words of Ron Paul each debate.

  • They'll have to lean more his way if they want even the slightest chance of winning in November.

  • Ron Paul hit it right on the head. Let the others laugh all they want, because that will be their undoing. Fred Thompson should have stuck with acting, at least he can act smart with a script. Here, he's just a poser.

  • Romney and Huckabee are immature, they bickered like an old married couple. Huck seems arrogant and Romney frazzled. Ron Paul owned this debate like a president should.

  • Fred Thompson is a very ignorant man.

  • They laugh at Ron Paul, but in deep down inside they know he's right. That's why they're laughing at him. A bully who knows how dumb he is always laughs and beats up on the geek who makes him feel stupid. Go Ron Paul! Go! Don't let them push you down - keep firm, keep strong, keep them feeling stupid! Vot Ron or die in a police state!

  • huk's a dumbass

  • Take the insurance co out of the picture and the cost would come down a lot. We can negotiate the price with the Doctors and Hospitals ourselves. Shop around for medical care! We're doing it already by going to another country for major surgery now!

  • "keep trying" - Ron Paul. That was classic and a zinger that wasn't reported. healthcare cost is all inter-related.. they try to talk about things in a vacuum. Ron Paul talks about the problem in the context of the whole. Simpletons will not get it.

  • Amen.

  • No. It goes "CAN I GET AN AMEEEEN!"

and then we say " AMEN!"

    VOTE RON PAUL

  • They all laugh at him as if he is wrong. I hope people can see through this school yard gang and tell that Dr. Paul is the best choice for president.

  • Fred Thomson is a smart ass douche that needs to be whacked in the face.

  • OMG, Thomson is such a dullard!! he has no clue about our monetary system or about inflation, how in the world does this guy think he could be...oh never mind...we elected Bush jr. hu?
