  • that woman is pure EVIL.

  • fuck internet comments piss the shit out of me at times.

  • Those two assholes are way too rich :p

There should be a law stating that anyone worth more than $10 billion gets all his assets seized to repay U.S national debt.

... a bit like in fucking BASIC when you reach 65536 in a loop :)

  • This is all bullshit being fed to the public

believe me, not a penny of that $30 Billion is going to charity

you see the commericals, $2 can save a life, so $30 Billion should save 15 billion lives, the world population is 6 billion

Its all conspiracies, you can roll your eyes and call me crazy, but believe me, its all conspiracies

  • Much of the 30 billion is going to research that costs a ****ing fortune. Just giving everyone in the word $5.00 would be a really stupid idea. Furthermore, those "x dollars can save a life" are PER DAY and loaded with the same conspiracy bullshit as Gates and Buffett, if not more. Preserving life is expensive and 30 billion is barely a drop in the bucket towards funding humanity.

  • Warren, Bill and Melinda are just great humanitarians. These are the good CEOs.

  • Buffet, Buffet, you are my lord.

  • This should be on the news every day this is so much better than any D@#$% Game!!

  • I didn't know Hitler had resurrected from the grave...

  • News like these should be getting the major media attention. Unfortunately all we get are some stupid "talent" shows and tons of commercial garbage.

THE WHOLE MEDIA IS OWNED BY RICH, WAR MONGERING JEWS

  • Benderrr111: You are absolutely correct, this is one of the greatest gift to humanity but the major media will not give it the attention it deserves. If they get the attention, then all the wealthy individuals will be pressured by the public to do the same, and you know some greedy people only want everything for themselves. But Warren, Bill and Melinda Gates are such great role models. I hope they live forever.

  • Ironic, the TV audience is composed mostly of lazy, short minded, greedy, selfish, unproductive American assholes.

  • You don't know that...What I know however is that these kind of good news don't get any airtime because it doesn't suit them. This is a FACT,we all see it happening. Your ramblings however are pure SPECULATONS..

    see the difference?

  • Check the Attention span of the 'avg' american. Look at the shows that get the ratings. Look at the commercials, look at their main audience. Look at what they try to promote and who they cater to. Its not speculation. You say I made a speculation fine, but you made a very ignorant generalization about Jews.

  • health and medicine....

    culture...

    food

    infrastructure...

    all is issues....

    then war and political....

  • What have you profited, when you gain the whole world and loose your own soul...

  • Bill Gates is a true nerd. He can't speak his mind smoothly but no doubt has good thoughts on his head that he can't express physically. Melinda seems to be there to fill in that for him.

Warren on the other hand is a smooth talker and sounds very experienced.

  • I guess what you're trying to say is that his mind is much faster than his tongue.

  • bill has gave around 40 billion to charity so far. id get ur facts straight before u look like an idiot.

  • Comment removed

  • this is youtube, not a final copy of a paper. check his wikipedia and go down to philanthropy (i know, its a really big word, but it is basically the act of giving things away). it says hes given 28 billion. couple million eh?

and warren buffet has already given a massive amount, but much more is to come.

and yes, ur comments absolutely deserved -5

  • the two are brilliant minds

  • warren is a remarkable man

  • For someone who has Asperger syndrome, Bill Gates has a good speech.

  • Matt: 19:21 Then someone came to him and said "Teacher, what good deed must I do to have eternal life...[Jesus said] go sell your possessions, and give the money to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven...When the young man heard this word he went away grieving, for he had many possessions...

  • Melinda seemed to add little that Bill didn't say. And her body language, what was that about? They are incredible people, but she seemed the least likable between the three.

  • "In What Respect Charile" , Anybody still remember that ? Just thought of that when I saw charlie ..

Anybody think Melinda looks a bit Egoistic or has bad body language here ?

  • For commentary11: Melinda seems indeed egoistical to say the least. Ha.

  • by taking care of the poor you protect your consumers, thus, the long term benefit from helping the poor helps your investment.

They have to protect their investments by bettering the world's view of what America stands for. Too bad Bush and his administration screwed the whole world.

  • 99% of people might not give it away but there r exceptions n since those 3 r few of the greatest so they would b the exception

  • maybe its hard for u to grasp their mentality because you havent grown to the same level as they have financially but personally as well.they made all the money in the world so at that point they would have lost interest in wealth acquisition cos that goal was already accomplished and they came 2 realisation that there are bigger things 2 pursue.take into account that gates r leaving only $10 million 2 their children.

  • wow. warren buffet is a cool rich guy.

you guys think its just a front? i cant tell.

  • buffet is an amazing guy. he is one of the absolute richest people in the world, but lives on a $100,000 salary. He bought a little above average house around 30 years ago, and still has it. hes awesome.

  • Lend us a tenner chaps!

  • Bullshit!!!!! Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. This is what I suspect: It's a scam. The money flows right back into their bank accounts, with just a little subtraction paid to the mafia. And without any deduction paid in taxes. How come that is the only "organization" they "donate" money to? And for them claiming that they view all live on Earth equally is a complete lie. They only focus on humans, not on animals and not on the environment. They are not selfless.

  • That is extremely disrespectful to those their foundation cares for. Also, it's not selfless if you care for humans before animals, you artard.

  • For andyeroo: It absolutely is. And besides that I suspect them of getting the money back through a tax evasion loop. What is artard? If it's an insult, which I believe it is, then it's called ad hominem attack which makes your comment and argumentation meaningless.

  • no point trynna communicate if he doesnt know what u saying .. pretty ironic cause u both did the same thing.

  • I try to communicate whether people can understand me or not. At least I try.

  • I personally think its great what they are doing. They don't have to do ANYTHING for ANYONE. Just remember that, before you think they owe people equality and their money, because they don't. However, if you were going to be a conspiracatheorist, you have got to come up with more plausible theories. If I was to come up with a theory, I'd say Bill is trying to get a foothold in the research and pharmaceutical markets, so he can sell medicine, later, which would make his acct seem small right now.

  • For extension: You don't know their motifs for this "organization". So don't judge others for suspecting them of corruption.

  • I guess you didn't pay attention to what I said. Oh well, I dont care. Get a life.

  • And one last thing, we can judge whoever we want to, and so can you. Don't waste your time trying to order people around, because we're going to do what we want, within reason. And it's very reasonable to be analytical. Now, go take an ugly pill, cuz damn.. you need one! lol And once again get a life, because it looks like you have wasted yours so far on spending grooming time, making youtube videos. I have programming to get back to now. I won't be responding to bait anymore.

  • For extension: What is an ugly pill? HaHa. Nembutal? It kinda is a contradiction to "get a life" though. Believe me, I am as analytical as it gets. And thanks for watching my videos. Ha.

  • well bro, i agree with INTLWOBLIB, however, warren buffets money will go to the foundation only when he passes away, therefore, it does not matter for taxable reductions, like bill gates donates 1 billion an yr annually, but since hes running a company and alive, he can write it off as a tax reducatable, however the money warren is giving only goes once he passes away.

  • No doubt it's great that they are giving EXTRA money for some worthy causes. I'm sure poor people are benefiting. But here is the thing folks: it's all tax deductable! Make no mistake, the rich has access to the creme de la creme of CPA firms that help them find tax loopholes so that they wouldn't pay taxes. So these DONATIONS ARE ALL TAX DEDUCTABLE...

  • hey..id rather give the money to the needy than pay the government.they'd just bailout their wallstreet friends

  • I'm glad Buffet understands the value of life. His gift help many people who suffer in life. Honestly, it would have been nice to "shave a little off the top" of the donation. God bless him.

  • It's great that these mega-billionaires are giving back a lot of their wealth for worthy causes. I'd prefer that they do it a bit more quietly and low key. There's a certain holier-than-thou smugness that all 3 of them have that is a bit unsettling. On balance, a good thing though....

  • the fact of the matter is he doesnt care about the money at all!!its just a scorecard..and he'd be happy to give it all away..

  • For dadada75: Wrong.

  • no your wrong..

  • Water is life. Fuck you coca cola. A drop is a extra penny for your power. What a sick world.

  • I just find Warren Buffett such a phenomenal person, modesty with an amazing mind would be an understatement.

Bill is cool too, but Warren is my hero.

  • I amazing how pissed off people get because this guy gave away his money.

  • Notice - they aren't talking about Berkshire Hathaway or Microsoft - they are talking about the foundation, responsibility and how to make the money will make a difference, - attention for what?

  • Agreed with Cdell2333. If everyone just gave what they can around the world it would be unimaginable how much money would be raised to make a difference. I mean look at how successfull Obama's campaign was, same concept. But millions and millions around the world.

  • May the Universe bless you with health and wisdom to continue this brilliant and humane action.

  • Using human greed is the best way to help bring world out of poverty. If you think otherwise then your living in a fantasy world. Good job Warren, Bill and Belinda on your work and achievements.

  • I completely agree with you. Great comment.

  • HUman greed is widening the gap between the poor and the rich in the US to an alarming level. Part of the US population now lives like in the third world, and that's the result of the ownership culture.

What Buffet and Bill are doing is not out of greed. They are grown up men who made their fortune and must find a way to redistribute it in the best possible way. If Gordon Gecko is your hero you've got a lot to learn and unlearn. Good luck!

  • You obviously misunderstood me. Sorry about that, what I meant is that the best system we have is capitalism. BUT I don't believe a pure system works because huge inequalities occur and eventually a pure capitalist system kills itself. Capitalism in my opinion should be a partnership between stakeholders with cooperation and honesty as the ultimate goal for businesses. My examples would be Wholefoods and Apple. SOOOOO my hero is Andrew Carnegie > Gordon Gecko

  • BUffet left "only" 1 billion of his fortune to his kids. He thought having more is a liability.

  • If I recall correctly from my MBA class, he left 5 million to each of his 3 kids and gave the rest for philanthropy.

  • serve others and you will be free !!!

  • its amazing how people with so much money think about helping other individuals. imagine how much we can help if everyone help. we talking billions. there you find other individuals who have 1 million and think they can own the world and look bad at other because they poor. their is people in the world how have a few more and want to do what they want. check this out people learn from this individuals who have more to show off. god bless your help

  • Hi

Kindly provide email id for warren buffet..will take some money from him on credit and will take his valuable advice to grow for future

  • 30 billion :0 woah

  • if those watching this do not understand that the elite are making decisions for you, that will affect everything you do, then of course you are going to think and have hope that what they are doing is awesome, and no, they are not obligated to give money away. this has been going on for thousands of years, so, no human is going to be able to stop it.

  • they have no obligation to give their money away, because it is THEIRS! that they're doing any thing at all is a good thing considering that they could keep all of that money for themselves if they wanted.

  • dude, get ur facts str8 before u make comments.

    FAILED

  • wow u really don't have a clue do you

  • Lighten up Waldo, Check your facts. Just because people are proctive and make a lot of money doesn't mean they are ripping people off.

  • This gives me hope :-)

  • this three are the raw model for riches lol..... brilliant and splendid. cheeeeeers and keep up the good work!!!!!!!

  • what gents. how reassuring is it to see the richest guys in the world having such a genuine desire to improve the world. unlike creeps like the wall family (wallmart heirs)

  • Invest in a genius "Josignacio Painting"

  • Way too much emphasis on toxic drugs and vaccines. Big Pharma is lovin' it.

  • Beware of well meaning philanthropical madness steering you down the wrong path.

The dangers of Big Pharma toxicology is covered by excellent educational sites run by knowledgable people like Dr Mercola, The Health Ranger, and The People's Chemist. Tim O Shea's 'The Sanctity of Human Blood' and Neil Z Miller's books have excellent vaccine info.

I am picking up on lots of population control talk. These people think too highly of what I consider some very unhealthy ideas.

  • $30 billion? damm, ill be happy if i have at least $200 on my bank account...

  • tough...

  • Lol he said 30 billion was no big deal when it comes to him making the decisions

  • Buffet has wanted higher taxes for the super rich repeatedly. Great man.

  • 2008:62billion waren,vs 58billion gates

  • This admirable men, they have made more than me for the world...

  • their*

  • Stop whinning and change your life...

  • Why can't you see the positive side of it instead of negative things...who is ego tripping you think...there business is their business and you do yours.

  • why not go to one developing country and use that kind of money and make a model out of it. elimenating corruption & poverty

  • ¿Utopia? You just can´t erase corruption adn poverty with money alone. I wish it was that simple!

  • Just think of adding Artistic Fulfillment on top of everything (Something like Tonny Bennett has, both as a singer and painter. The next step would be give up everything and follow Gandhi's path.

  • The ultimate ego-trip! The difference is that a lot of poor kids benefit from that. Imagine you have all the money in the World, as well as prestige. You keep looking for meaning in life (if you are intelligent like these 3 great figures are). You realize you cannot buy peace of mind. But you realize that part of your happiness is a by product of your own work. But that is not enough. In the end you give a huge chunk of your money to charity and create a foundation. Well, who can beat that?and

  • Don't forget in addition to the ego trip - It's 100% tax deductible!

  • Like people who are giving away their money care about it being taxed.

  • This is an interview for Bill Moyers, not Charlie Rose.

  • We need more of such decent Americans making up for the mess made by Bushonomics.

  • But you notice which gets the more media coverage...

  • Left-wing tax-and-spend big-government commies must be shiting themselves over this. Charities are more efficient than the social-welfare state.

  • i hate how charlie rose asks his questions to such genius minds. its disappointing.

  • SHIRLEY DOES NOT HAVE ANYTHING!

  • I've never recognized this before, but Bill did an amazing job in picking his spouse. It appears that they are so in sync in life that it is inspiring. In this interview there is such a focused presence of mind in these people. It is amazing!

  • man bill must feel funny in a room with someone with more money than him,

i bet he hasent done that in along time

  • in 2006 bill was the richest

  • not true, because Bill became 2nd and then 3rd AFTER he gave half of his fortune about $28Bil to the foundation. so in reality he could still be the richest if you take that money into consideration

  • :D lmao

  • I'm agreeing with you, read my comment again, I said what has she done besides opening a school in S. Africa??? Nothing I can think of besides giving away cars to her audience (which is not going to change anyone's life significantly). If she's done other good works I'm not aware of them (I rarely, if ever watch her show, I can't stomach daytime talk television with their trivial issues they talk about.) I don't understand how anyone can watch Oprah, The View, Ellen, etc. it's a bunch of crap.

  • he is great

  • Racist comment aside, philanthropy of any kind is noble. Though I think donations should be "color-blind"

  • Oprah is a talk show host... not someone who will change the world. I respect Oprah although i truly believe the only reason she backed Obama so rigorously was because of the colour of his skin and, although i believe Obama to be the best potential president, i think Oprah negatively affected his credibility in the eyes of international spectators, and has set a bad example for potential voters and young America.

all negatives aside... id still love to smash oprah.

  • What about Oprah Winfrey, what has she done beside opening a $40 million school in S. Africa? The woman is a billionaire.

  • I wonder if mass philanthropy runs into the same kinds of problem as a command control economy. No individual can efficiently alocate resources to the masses. The goals of the Gates Foundation are impressive -- but when hordes of money are thown at a problem it hogs up the air in the room. Only the ideas funded by the big money get addressed without the benifit of self interest driving efficiency.

  • I felt with much much, a philanthropist tactic may lead ones company profit while at reputation increase

  • Warren Buffet a great business philosopher.

  • If you have a money, will you do it!really are you willing to pay 3 quarter of all your money to help people? No 90% of people won't., these guys are the best in world

  • gimme 0.001% of ur bank balance

  • it always takes Democrats to bail out Republican administrations.

  • great people

  • fu** money! money destroys our word

  • please receive a education.

    thanks.

  • Shouldn't that be "Please recieve an education."?

I do agree though, it seems people don't think about anything at all. Especially about what they say.

  • I before e Except after C. : ) I think that was 3rd grade or so.

  • haha, typo. :/

  • tell me bro, are you broke? or nearly broke?

  • Thanks to youtube. I'm from China and I admire Mr. Buffett very much . In fact in China most of investers know of him and want to learn from him. Now I can find more videos about Buffett. Thanks again.

  • really noble from all of them!

  • listen without having your internal commentary going on...just listen

  • Love this man!

  • The silent backbone of civilization is made of people like this.

  • This is another one of those times in my adult life when I am REALLY proud of my country.

Michelle Obama, you are an unpatriotic stuck-up snob for not being REALLY proud or your country when it does things like this.

  • Proud of your country? But your country didn't do this. Bill and Warren did this. "Bill and Warren" does not equal your country. They don't represent every American.

Be proud of humanity and people who try to make a difference around the world, not just in the US. Claiming patriotism doesn't help anyone. You do something to contribute because you've determined it is the right thing to do and not because of some allegiance to your country.

Self-declared patriots are getting on my nerves.

  • Our country has a culture and economic system of amassing wealth and giving it back to society. It's not perfect, but I am VERY proud of this incredible system, not just the people.

As Michelle Obama has self-declared and clarified multiple times that she has never been VERY proud of her country, then she cannot see and feel how good it is when things in this country work really well. Such a person will not hesitate to CHANGE them and thus put the good things at risk.

  • I am proud of the U.S. for the atmosphere that fosters this kind of success. The people who become successful can then use the money they made when they became successful to help others who are less fortunate if they choose to, and many of them do choose to donate their money for philanthropic purposes. They actually put a lot of thought on how they will spend their money to leave a 'legacy' unlike gov't which just redistributes wealth for political gain. Did Michelle ever think of that????

  • I'm proud to have Microsoft Windows on my computer.

  • yes bill your process of bugs and virus to put rats in the house of Congress via national security has been exposed.

so your kindness to world like the UN is for what?.

  • Charity is someway very difficult work to get into because it simply do not have the clear routes to get into. They are talking about vaccines and medicines its really good. I think there is lot of money around but finding ways to spend it to maximise outcome is just too great. Thank you for warren buffet, Bill and Melina for thinking good about world. There are really lot of people suffering without basic drugs and basic food

  • Great people with intelligence!!!

Every now and then I donate little bit money when I see some kind of fund raisers (in Hong Kong here people always donate money for different kind of charity, e.g. building schools in the remote area of China, helping victims suffering from natural disasters). BUT after watching this clip, it suddenly dawns on me that PHILANTHROPY is a Science- maximizing the outcome with the limited available resource;allocating the fund to the best use of it.

    Wow!Thanks all!

  • very inspiring and brilliant...

How many times I wished I could help someone I see with problems and felt guilty, frustrated and depressed just because I could not afford to...

  • The funny thing is that Bill Gates has at times been criticised for unscrupulous business ethics. But i'd rather he was the sole entity in a certain field than have an oligopoly, with business owners who are far less philanthropic than he is.

  • May god bless all those that are willing to help others with out looking at gender, race , or ethnicity!!

  • God Bless him jus like he bless King Soloman. Do U think God will take away his wealth. If He go against him.

  • I understand why God gave you all that money to those people, it because he knows that you are good people.

  • great people

  • Bill, Melinda, and Warren are blessed with what they have for this very reason. It's the law of the universe!
