Milltek is one of the best overall exhaust you can get on a 24v, I used to have it on my 24V before I supercharged it, and about 2 months while I was supercharged, it gave me good power gain throughout the power band and was very comfortable while cruising around and decently loud while WOT,

@ hpk77 yes teenagers that shove fart cans on a car sounds terrible but this doesn't have enough growl. I can barely even hear the car. My STI can be heard well before it's seen but I didn't use a fart can I bought the Cobb tuning turboback which looks stock but has a growl to it.

@turbosti04 The growl of a WRX or STi comes from the different length of the extractor pipes. Most 4 cylinders are just even.

@jaydnisevil Im well aware of that. If I were to put equal length headers on my STi then it would sound smoother and in some applications give better performance. The point I was making is that this car doesnt have that growl that the 1.8t volkswagon engines tend to have. Listen to a 1.8t with an APR or GHL exhaust and they have a growl to them.

im on a budget so i did a custom job cat back with a Apex N1 muffler. it sounds pretty good to me (vid response. if your gonna bash, at least be mature about it)

I have a megan racing setup with a downpipe on mine and it's a lot louder than this. And it doesn't pop or crack at all. And it still keeps that mellow volkswagen sound...just louder. What makes this Millitek setup good?

649 USD brand new for a cat back. mk4s got a 1.8 liter turbo, which is pretty kickin, a 2.8 liter VR6 which is also pretty kickin, and a 2 liter 8V which is whack. and a 1.9 liter turbo diesel which is also pretty sweet.
