seriously, Jamie Lidell is one hell of a multi-talented artist and amazing in everything he does! no doubt he's in his element and doing an awesome job here but it's thanks to JIM that I got to know him and that! so for me, it's no "sell-out" or something like that. they're just other sides of him he likes to show and do. and if that brings him new followers who'll discover THIS, the better!

@lorddarksol i agree with you. apparently people are too desensitized by recordings and don't understand what live is. imperfections are naturally a part of the live experience. Jamie's performance here was amazing and creative. Sometimes recordings don't provide that and live music needs to be appreciated for what it is outside of recordings.

Jesus that guy's so talented. Groove, experimental, awesome with machines, and a soul voice that's on par with the best black singers of the sixties. I've only discovered him recently, but every aspect of what he does is leaving me stunned. Great when he goes pop, awesome when he goes crazy... Talent all the way. That's what 21st century artists should be like. Not like Lady Gaga.

Don't tell me what I have and "havent" done. Jamie is one of the most talented singers I have ever heard. My point was (and is) that a performance like this, in my opinion, makes him seem like a he is relying on gimmicks to carry his performance, rather than just stepping up to the mike and belting out a song. Jamie should be selling millions of albums and it is a damn shame that he is not. The man can sing, folks. He is an amazing talent.

@prospectus91 Have u ever thought that maybe he is completely ok with where his music career is right now? I am actually happy that he is not a huge mainstream artist. Jamie is incredibly talented and it is a wonder to how come he's not more popular but I am sure if he wanted to he cud be more popular. We already know he can just step up to a mike and belt out a song, I love the fact that he does this type of interesting stuff, more artists should do stuff like this.

he's got an amazing voice and undeniable talent as a white-boy soul singer, but here he pretty much had his own niche. i guess he was harder to market this way.

I do miss the quirky side of him, too. but he still does a lot of that stuff (beatboxing, loop recording, improv and all sorts of weirdness) when playing live. it's definitely worth it to go and see him in concert.
