  • In English you should refer to the knight with IT and not with HE as it is not a person :) I'm learning russian and have the same problem reversed !

  • fantastic!!!

  • Thank you for your explanations. I realize now I only see 10% of what there is to seee in a game, and you just showed the "other" 90%. God bless you for this.

  • am glad i found this channel on my Recommended list ^_^ ... nice commenting too ... first time to hear "cute move" keep posting them :))

  • its only after 2 years im getting a flavour of posititonal play!!

  • What a bedroom voice you have and I really like it! Absolutely charming!

  • hello I though the fischer killed the dragon variation in his game against larson and it was not used in top rank chess. I see that i was wrong (see fischer . my 60 most memorable games,.

  • so how long do you make with each move because it seems that you are thinking of a few moves ahead?

  • Some moves are easy and you don't have to think far ahead, but some require deep thought and the creation of a strategy, that's much harder.

  • @ChessQueen

I just began REALLY playing chess, am playing online and getting beaten up pretty badly, any advices for a begginner?

  • Wow! I have always been afraid of the sicilian defense but you make it sound so easy! You a great!

  • same here, I even stopped playing e4 because of 1...c5, but she makes it seem so easy! I guess Im just not a natural attacker

  • Besides Fischer you are my favorite chess player of all time!!!

  • That's a nice compliment, thanks :-)

  • This is actually one of my favourite line with white, I like the active role played by the Queen bishop, attack and defence. In this sharp line bishops are very powerful. Great game

  • this is such an awesome video ;] really nice game and overall tactics by You ! and about the only ten minutes mark thing . hmm thats weird im subscribed to a channel in wich the videos are uploaded very often and most of them are far beyond the ten minutes mark :O would be nice if you would find a way to upload longer videos ;]

  • perfect game, congratulations Alexandra

  • i love you alexandra! :)

  • Stunning tactics!

I appreciate the rapid commentary, since on YouTube, we have the convenience of pausing and rewinding and it allows you to go through many more of those beautiful variations.

    Thanks!!

  • Indeed, in fact I have to comment rapidly, as YouTube only allows videos of 10 minutes maximum, and I barely made it under 10 minutes for this one :-) Feel free to pause and rewind any time during playback. I'm glad you like my video, thanks for the feedback!

  • Yes, exactly. ;-)

But Alexandra, since you have a large viewership, you can apply to become a "YouTube partner." This will allow you to post videos of any length.

The point of being a "partner" is that YouTube puts adverts on your videos and shares some of the income with you (the content provider). There are also other benefits, but it's better just to see the website.

    see:

  • VERY nice =) very good commentary!

  • Great win and nice calculations!

  • Thanks for the video, Alexendra. Great game and commentary!
