I've heard "biff" used in a different way. When I was younger I heard my stepbrother use it a lot to refer to something that someone failed to do a skateboard (or whatnot)stunt properly and would get hurt or injured. Example: " He just biffed that jump!"
I hope every US soap opera is cancelled -- that at least would open up the possibility of the 4000 or so Shortland Street episodes being transmitted in Canada or the US.
I have been on Shortland Street, including its 3rd post office -- and it is not a long street. Somehow I remember it being 90deg from Vulcan Lane (where the ironmongers use to be located).
