Amazing. Awesome guitar as well. Been thinking about treating myself. If I get one and can learn to play that as well as you, i may just cream my pants...
I bought it from the US when they were cheaper (have gone up lately), and when the exchange rate was good. With customs and shipping it still only cost me a little over £700. You'd do well to get one for that now.
Among all the covers of Slight Return I've seen on YouTube, this one takes the cake. Absolutely brill - as well as your other Bluetones covers too! =D
That is crazy if it's true man! coz it's the perfect pop song and so fun to play even on bass...my old band mate never liked them but he was funny like that. I think really he was jealous lol
Thanks. Boss compressor - Boss CE5 Chorus - Sansamp PSA 1.1 on the (slightly edited) 'Marshall Clean' preset - Peavey Ultra 112 on the clean channel. Stepping on a Behringer TO800 at the end. You can hear the original too which makes it sound better than it really is.
it's writen...it's in the title of this video ,band called blutones..and the song "slight return",i'm from france, this band is not known here, but i discovered it with this video, and the other one he posted "carnt be trust",this guy is cool, thanks for making me discovering this band..

I'm not sure who Adam Devlin's infuences were. The Ric does do the Smiths sound very well though.

I dare say you didn't miss a note. Good job. How highly do you rate the bluetones as a matter of interest?

I'm not a huge fan, just love the guitar work and the songs in general on the first album.

Oh man I wish I could play guitar like this!

Just out of interest, Adam Devlin remarked on the Bluetones forum that he originally only saw this song as a B-side. Kraazee!

I can't believe you've got 3,284 views, but only 20 comments.
This is really good.

Yeah it's the same 20 Bluetones fans keep coming back. :)

i use elixirs too....i didn't like them at first but you eventually start to like the slippery feeling...

I did get used to them actually, but reverted back to the comfort of my D'addarios as I always seem to do.

are those toasters or high gain pickups?
wichopdot 4 years ago
They're original stock pick ups. Not toasters.

LOL I think you'll find that I am in fact 'focused'. I've yet to reach that level where I can play and smile at the same time. :-)

ghart1960 - the song is called Slight Return and the band is The Bluetones. (Best band ever.)

Thanks. Adam doesn't appear to use the Ric anymore. Don't know why - they sound cool.
sreymind 4 years ago
They're buggers to keep in tune. Maybe that's why?
