You can tell, Steve Von TIll did a huge part of the songwriting. It doesn't even sound like Converge up until Kurt Ballou kicks in. Love it, especially how it sets the tone for Wretched World.
if converge wanted to join the ranks of those broadcast on the radio, they would rape. its these eerie songs that are really gonna make them go down in history as the no nobodies that are taller than giants!
so different.. reminds me of going in a old western cowboy saloon, with some crazy old man about to chuck me whiskey... or sarsaparilla if they run outa whiskey
One of my favourites on the album. I like Steve Von Till's voice on here, makes me think of a mysterious stranger telling eerie stories by a campfire in the Old West (don't ask why).
awesome , zero dislikes, there just might be a little hope for the human race

Reminds me of Acid Bath's "Graveflower", in the switch between heavy sludge and pensive piano

Who are these people and who are YOU people?!
I'm getting an impression that this band's fan base is somewhat of a cult. O.O
I am afraid and fascinated. I could get into this Converge ;)

I LOVE songs like these, that build up into a massive ending. 'Dust' by former Adelaide band The Rivalry and this one are great examples <3

I'm not really into metal, I'm more into a lot of old school punk, but I can even admit that this song is fucking fantastic.

I wonder if the similarity with the riff from "A Season in the sky" is intentional.

seriously, those last 2 tracks on Axe To Fall are more epic than everything i have heard before.
Wretched World is a really awesome piece too.
Converge rule.
When they released Halo In a Haystack, they ruled, they still rule, they will always rule.

@panasonicyouth1985 we should make a video to this as I had the same mental image. also i fucking love DEP.
