  • awesome , zero dislikes, there just might be a little hope for the human race

  • You can tell, Steve Von TIll did a huge part of the songwriting. It doesn't even sound like Converge up until Kurt Ballou kicks in. Love it, especially how it sets the tone for Wretched World.

  • This track is fuckin AWESOME!!

  • Is this Jacob Bannon ? There's no way....

  • @tstxcore steve von till of neurosis sings this one

  • @tstxcore neurosis singer..

  • Reminds me of Acid Bath's "Graveflower", in the switch between heavy sludge and pensive piano

  • HEARTCORE <3

  • Who are these people and who are YOU people?!

I'm getting an impression that this band's fan base is somewhat of a cult. O.O

I am afraid and fascinated. I could get into this Converge ;)

  • @8Metaphysicist8 Most of us are just normal folk with broken hearts.

  • Hey dude is there anyway you can make this available for iPhone please! :)

  • This And Wretched World, Are My Favorite Songs On The Album..

Best Converge Album Ive Bought So Far..

  • I LOVE songs like these, that build up into a massive ending. 'Dust' by former Adelaide band The Rivalry and this one are great examples <3

  • @MrKyPieIsDandy THE RIVALRY!!!!!!!

  • I'm not really into metal, I'm more into a lot of old school punk, but I can even admit that this song is fucking fantastic.

  • fukking love this badn man soo awesome ogmogmogmogmomg lolol Å^^^^^oafonöfasgiangasdgdg

  • This song is very Vegas.

  • I think everyone can agree that this is one of those songs that "hits" everybody that listens to it in just the right way.

  • Tom Waits... That's exactly what I was thinking when I heard this for the first time...

  • apparently the vocals of chris taylor from pg. 99 is on this track

anyone wanna tell me how to identify his voice within all that noise?

  • wow no haters on a page for once

  • neurosis vocals? MOTHERFUCKING AWESOME.

  • I love this band

  • This song gives me chills...

    Fuck.

  • if converge wanted to join the ranks of those broadcast on the radio, they would rape. its these eerie songs that are really gonna make them go down in history as the no nobodies that are taller than giants!

  • Pink Floyd Money Intro lol

  • Great song. I could handle a whole album of stuff in this vein.

  • I wonder if the similarity with the riff from "A Season in the sky" is intentional.

  • favourite!!!!

  • come on people, get your lighters out and up in the air.

  • does anyone know how to play this song? if i could find out i would make a keyboard conversion of this song.

  • yeah mmmm mmmm mmm mmm mmm

  • experimental breakthrough

  • my favorite song! go converge! (and steve von till)

  • @2112Johnny2112 Brodsky and Von Till on a Converge album.. brilliant

  • this probably one of my faves from the album :)

so different.. reminds me of going in a old western cowboy saloon, with some crazy old man about to chuck me whiskey... or sarsaparilla if they run outa whiskey

  • This reminds me of a totally different things...

seriously, those last 2 tracks on Axe To Fall are more epic than everything i have heard before.

Wretched World is a really awesome piece too.

    Converge rule.

When they released Halo In a Haystack, they ruled, they still rule, they will always rule.

  • @panasonicyouth1985 we should make a video to this as I had the same mental image. also i fucking love DEP.

  • Does this not feel like post-metal Tom Waits to anyone else?

  • @ferusanimus totally, definitely, awesomely, yes

  • @ferusanimus that´s exactly what it seemed to me, Tom Waits

  • Tom Waits is the first thing that came to mind when I heard this. Leonard Cohen as well.

  • honestly, just what i thought:.

  • @ferusanimus I'd say Nick Cave more than Tom Waits but ok ;)

  • @blaksab73 That's fair. I wonder where Nick Cave got that though.

  • @ferusanimus - exactly

  • @ferusanimus it's steve von till, not tom waits

  • @gutterculture the singer from neurosis & tribes of neurot

  • @gutterculture No way! Really? I said it FELT like a post-metal Tom Waits. Not that it WAS Tom Waits. I know who Steve Von Till is.

  • One of my favourites on the album. I like Steve Von Till's voice on here, makes me think of a mysterious stranger telling eerie stories by a campfire in the Old West (don't ask why).

  • I love Steven Von Till and Converge, so this is perfect!

  • Powerful song... thanks for posting!
