For profit business is inherently different from what a church should be. Business's reason for being are to earn as large a profit as possible even if people livelihoods are at stake. Business is essentially without morals. Church's sole reason for being should be to increase spirituality and morals among its members. They are polar opposites & do not belong together. Yet another reason the LDS church is not God's one true church. It is like God and satan having a Poker night.
My late husband and I met years ago at quiet ward in Arizona and never questioned why we praise Heavenly Father through the message our Prophet left. Joseph Smith instructed LDS to focus on language because only then would we recognize Heavenly Father. J Smith reminds us that when Heavenly Father appears he will produce “The Word.” Heavenly Father has appeared and his delivery can be found youtube@ LA PAROLA IN CUATRO. Only the Creator can explain His vision as His own.
Yeah... I don't agree with everything the Mormon church does... But whoever made this video is really misinformed. It was meant to be funny. But it really just came off as creepy and hateful.
@dethdude94 hateful ? try this Any man having children with a black woman must be beheaded, and his children must be killed
“And if any man mingle his seed with the seed of Cane [sic] the ownly [sic] way he could get rid of it or have salvation would be to come forward and have his head cut off & spill his Blood upon the ground it would also take the life of his children.” (Wilford Woodruff's Journal, recording a speech by Brigham Young, January 16, 1852, typed copy; LDS Church Archives).
"The first thing you will notice about me is that I am wearing a suit and I do not have a beard. That is because Xtranormal is the CGI equivalent of GoAnimate, and is thus made of shit, ass and poo."
i remember when a friend of mine jokingly asked "i didn't know it cost money to get into heaven?" and went on telling me about some missionary's that told him something along the lines of pay or no heaven. back then i replied that tithing is a choice no one makes you. now looking back, at the lds church (and Christianity and religion in general) im surprised i stayed with it so long.
"I would that ye should come unto Christ, who is the Holy One of Israel, and partake of his salvation, and the power of his redemption. Yea, come unto him, and offer your whole souls as an offering unto him, and continue in fasting and praying, and endure to the end; and as the Lord liveth ye will be saved." Joseph Smith Jr.
No one invests money to lose money, accept the government or fools or both (as the case may be).
When that money brings a return, then some of that return can be used to help people. Using money to make money, & then turning around & helping people with that money, is a hard concept for some people to grasp.
Seems simple to me. What do you want, THE Church Of JESUS CHRIST Of Latter Day Saints to hand all the money to foreign bankers, like the stimulus package was thrown away by Uncle Sam???
Investing is the concept that you you use money to make money. THE Church Of JESUS CHRIST Of Latter Day Saints helps many people throughout the World.
If this Mall makes any money, then the money that is made can help even more people around the World.
There are many disasters around the World. Mormons are helping people all the time. What are you doing to help other people?
@AnonEmouseMan I do weekly volunteer work to help other people, thanks for asking. Are you suggesting that Mormon leaders have committed to using the profits of their real estate ventures to provide disaster relief? If so, where are you getting that? The LDS church reports on its website that it has provided one billion dollars in humanitarian aid since 1985. That's 26 million dollars per year. By contrast, LDS leaders have invested over 3.5 BILLION dollars in this mall project alone.
@mormongags Did you ever read these passages in the Bible? "Matthew 25:14-30; Luke 19:12-28", it's a parable that basically talks about what you should do if you are given something. The parable is says that a man has 3 servants, he gave the first one 5 talents (which is a unit of money), the next one 3 talents and the last one 1 talent. The first servant and second servant doubled there money and the master was well pleased. The third one buried it in the ground, the master was not pleased .
The Mormon Jesus, "elder spirit brother to all Morons". The mormon Jesus whose plan was chosen over his sibling lucifer, who for some unknown reason was renamed Satan. What's the point? The Mormon Jesus is not real. He rose to the surface from a damaged brain cell in Josephs imagination.
Lame. This would be funny but it has the stink of evangelical bigotry all over it. That ruins it for me. "Mormon Jesus," isn't a term real ex mormons and mormon critics of LDS use.
