hey, ive raced alot of these and seen alot of videos and most people just look cool driving it cause its fast but actually they blow at driving and have no clue what they're doing but this is the first one i have seen other then actual competitions where an amateur has such great control over the handling... you should consider racing..
@dfx961 Thanks, we set up tracks with soccer cones and do time trials haha. And I race cars too, that probably helps with kart control ;) Always wanted to race but I just didn't look into it enough. I live about 2 hours from Perris, I'm not sure if there's still racing there or not.
Do you have any experience with the G260rc engine? I found a Go Quad with that engine installed on Craigslist and I'm thinking of picking it up this weekend for $425 (good price?). I plan on building a shifter kart this summer, so my Go Quad wouldn't have to be the fastest thing on the street.
@TheHevquip All RC's are excellent engines. Kamatsu Zenoah are considered the best in Pedding. $425 is a good price if everything in in good shape and the engine runs strong. It's a chain drive Quad right? I sold mine for $550 with a piped GP460.
@1993z32 He had several and the one with the 260 was spindle driven and a normal Go Quad frame. I bought another one he had for a little more and it was a Super Go Quad with the Chueng Yang 29cc, but I'm not too worried about what I have heard of those motors because my frame has a live axle and I have the money to buy a bigger and better motor once I'm used to my 29cc. If I buy a pipe for my current engine, will it fit the 42cc or 46cc when I swap engines, or will I have to buy a new pipe?
@TheHevquip I had a 29cc pipe on mine, All I did when I bought a 46cc was port-match the exhaust manifold to the size of the 46cc exhaust port. Worked great!
@1993z32 Awesome, then I can order a pipe today and a larger gas tank! The guy I bought mine from has like, 5 more of these karts and 20+ built Go Peds in his garage with ridiculous amounts of parts and engines and stuff, so I'm guessing he's the kind of guy with port-matching tools and capabilities to help me. So is the only difference between all exhausts the ports, or are exhausts tuned for specific engine sizes? Wondering if I can retrofit a 46cc pipe until I get the 46cc engine...
@TheHevquip I think I had a PacSales pipe on mine, which I believe the chambers are the same. It had awesome power on my 29 and my 46. You will also have to slightly modify the bolt holes on the manifold whether you are putting a 46pipe on a 29, or a 29pipe on a 46
yeah with that intake you rarely have to clean the filter as opposed to every freakin time you take it out. No other mods though, intake, pipe, re-geared 64/8. Wish I could have had a 60...
@theblaese The pipe I had was on my old GP290 so it had the exhaust manifold to fit that motor. I swapped it to a GP460 which has a larger exhaust port, so I port-matched the manifold on the pipe to the appropriate size for better flow.

I'm getting the riot, which has the same engine. In your opinion, which pipe is the loudest for the gp460? Louder than an m1 end bleed?
HeyIWrestle 2 years ago
doesn't get much louder than the M1 end bleed... I would be more concerned with power rather than sound though.
