i'm just using low piano and strings notes and it sounds like a bass.

but when i need to make bass line usualy i use hypersonic.

it's not that the snare is to late in the pattern . . . . it's the type of snare that is used that makes it sound that way.

It's nice that everyone puts a slightly different twist on things when they remake it though.
