@resumebwd Well lets get it all the way right. After Elijah died it was Silis Muhammed that stood up and ressurected the NOI first not Farrakhan. The organizations that I speak of are those groups back in the 50's and 60's that didn't survive the FBI. But the Nation bounced back strong. These little weak black organizations today don't make any impact they just a lot of talk.

Ford briefly settled in Oregon when he first arrived here, then traveled on to California where he made “Los Angeles” his home prior to being sent to prison at San Quentin in 1926.

Upon his release from prison in May of 1929, Ford traveled to Chicago and joined a vaguely Islamic movement there; the MSTA . However, after only a few months there he quit the MSTA, convinced a few disgruntled members to follow him to Detroit where in 1930 he formed the Allah Temple of Islam, which he later changed the name to the Nation of Islam.
