looks easy enough. I already threw in some quick roof all around, like i seen on another channel but with my 1915cc I need a little more. just hesitant to do it all in the headliner area. not sure if i can make it look pretty again.
That really sux about the deer taking a nap in the road. Your vids have given me the confidence to give it a go with minor body work. I've got an old ford taurus to practice on and a neighbor whose been doing it for years that will give further advise. He just finished a 3 yr project. A beautiful rod like the 34 in your vids. Did it in his garage. Even painted it himself. Absolutely stunning. Only work he didn't do, was stuff like getting the block cleaned, etc.
@UtzChips2009 Just got back from a car show with my bug---ran over a fucking DEER last night.. Screwed the whole front apron up.. Sorry---I ment to say, thanks for the comments. It still sucks about running over the friggen deer
What i love most about you videos, other than learning stuff about cars. Is that your not afraid of showing your fuck ups. Love you vids man. Keep them coming!!!!!!
6' 5", ponie tail down to your ass, tats from head to toe, loud, crass and in-your-face biker lookin dude, but not afraid to admit you love Herbie the Love Bug. That's a person who is honest and comfortable with who he is. Keep doin what your doin..............thanks
Pete i got a question for you. I know your shop is not the average body work/custom shop. But for the average body shop, do you think they charge outrageous prices? Just curious on your opinion there.
@ChrisXCXCX Cant really answer that question, because its all about the owner of the shop. If he's honest and a stand up guy, no he will probably be pretty reasonable, but if its a large shop and the owner doesn't give a crap, because he's got way to much work and he thinks he knows everything and treats you like your STUPID and don't know nothing, yes it will be an outrageous price... That answer can go both ways... Thanks Pete
Pete, I am interested to know why you have an affection for VW's? I heard the story about how you wrecked one and fixed it up yourself which kind of got you into bodywork. Is that it? Just curous.
@marcellinasfigaro Actually it was Herbie the Love Bug movie when I was a litle kid, and went and saw it at the movies.. Ever since then VOLKSWAGENS are #1. But yes your right, I got my start in body work and automotive repairs with VW's as well....
Would you consider VW's a great starter/project car for someone? Seems like lots of people learn how to do bodywork and stuff on them because there small stature.
@ChrisXCXCX I would consider a VW Bug the number 1 car to learn body work and paint on, because it's easy to work on and reasonably cheap to restore compared to hot rods or muscle cars.. Yeah I would say ---GO FOR IT...........

Far cheaper than Dynamat, Insulation will probably WORK BETTER than the Dynamat if the panel has room to put it.....??
