Well, it's a Highland Games of some sort, and all participants in Highland Games are usually required to wear a kilt (even a 'fake' one) in order to compete. It doesn't matter about your nationality (or sexuality), you have to wear a kilt although the women are wearing Men's kilts ... which looks funny! I love wearing my kilts and I am not Irish or Scot, but I am married to a MacGregor!
