1) Beethoven wrote symphony No. 9 deaf.

2) When symphony No. 9 premiered, Beethoven didn't conduct it.

3) Symphony No. 9 was the last time Beethoven used Orchestra and Choral. His next work was a quartet called "Grosse Fuge".

This was the best piece of music Ive ever heard! I hate people because they changed this geniality to stupid uneventful commercial "music" as they call rap or techno....and they call its makers "musicians"....calling that radio shit music, is like people spitting to Beethoven, Mozart, Haydn, Salieri, Czajkowski etc....I hate this century!..today people dont know what is the art, people are stupid, selfish, DEAF and BLIND!

If they understand how sublime it is, they changed their way of seeing.

Master of Puppets? The only thing that can reach this size of awesomeness, experience, complexity and emotion in the heavy-metal genre is the song "I" of Meshuggah. And the only thing I is better than this one in my opinion are the lyrics. Rest- from music, to organization of melodies within the song- the 9th symphony has no rival in my opinion.

@Premoguys I love all forms of music, Heavy Metal is a different kind of good. That being said, dubstep, and electronic are not music. But if you will compare them, this music is absolutely brilliant, and I have heard nothing better than this in my life, and the way I see music changing, I doubt I will ever see anything better. But, I still prefer to listen to modern rock/metal and acoustic/piano music, for the only reason that I like it better, it suits my preference.

Thank you for posting this video. Beethoven inspired me in my teenage years and for a long time I listened to nothing else, I would listen to his music for hours at the end of every day in bed at night and his music entered my subconscious as I slept. I enjoyed the emotion of this scene and of course by the time of his 9th Symphony he was profoundly deaf, that thought moves me to tears even now as I write this. Best wishes, Andy :)
