Londons nightlife is incredible, just because the tube shuts at 12 (so they can keep it clean unlike NY) the nightlife continues till the morning. Idiot, I have lived in London and NYC, and London is much better, and the nightlife is superior! London is beautiful and interesting, NYC is boxy with crap ugly buildings. I have lived in both...NYC is overrated, London is the best city in the world

Meh, to each their own. I've had family living in NYC for two decades, spent years there in total, but never lived there, though. May be because I only go there on holiday. Both cities have their strengths, I've spent 20+ years in London which is more than enough for a lifetime. Still finding it extremely boring - "London is a great city, so long as you have the money." If you want to piss away your dough on shitty, overpriced drinks, yeah, enjoy! Beach life for me, eventually!

You must know that London is very lively, and yes, except the price, I found the nightlife to be better than NYC. NYC is just too dirty, dangerous, and shit quality of life, it is not nice like London either. I found NYC great to visit, but to live? Shithole. Trust me, London is the best big city to live! Plus it is right on europes doorstep, all the places you could ever want to visit are close

@selfatrophy I guess you must just be a beach person...The UKs weather is depressing in the winter, Id rather live in italy or the south of france...thats what is great about London...Italy is 2 hours away.
But in terms of big cities, it really comes down to London vs NYC, and NYCs weather is worse than Londons, too cold and depressing in winter, and far to hot and uncomfortable in the summer, trust me, London 100% over NYC...All NYers seem to hate the fact London is better too?? ;)

@selfatrophy You completely forget the value of money while living in London...then you go up north, and are shocked at how cheap everything is...England is a very expensive country in general, compared with USA...But england gets much higher average salaries than USA...London is expensive, but London salaries are ridiculously high.
