The parts where you have to press A and B are the same. Having to swipe the remote is acually somewhat intuitive. And its already been shown that having to waggle the remote like crazy is more effective than tapping A or X. So yeah, it's easier.

easiest way is to keep shaking/pressing a+b the whole cutscene. when the last group of lasers come, run towards them as they go really fast if you let them come to you and may catch you offguard.

el gigante. Pump damage into him until he bends over and you can see a parasite on his back. Climb on and slash. You'll have to do it 2-3 times and he'll die

*sigh* I've never played/owned any RE4 game other than the Wii Edition(I'm about half-way through it).

All my friends say the Wii Edition(the one I have) is easier during the in-game custscenes. I agree(I mean, seriously, to dodge/run, just aim the Wii-mote up and you win. The only other combo is A+B).
