  • Cette pièce me plait particulièrement, cher Val.

    Val

  • Thank you Val, for this and the other Playford tunes.

    They give great pleasure.

  • @snuffbox1

Thanks a lot ;-) Playford tunes are really nice to play !

    All the best

    Val

  • Are these arrangements available for guitar anywhere ? Classclef has some and I have book of some but I haven't seen Godesses anywhere.

  • @azw409 There are free tabs on the Ning lute group (lute tabs but you can play on a guitar if you tune the G in Fsharp...)

    V.

  • Superbe ! Belle journée !

    Amitiés , Yom

  • @Rouyome

    Merci cher ami ;-)

  • Good work Val, really enjoy your vids, and thanks for recording the arrangements. These tunes sound great on the lute, don't they?

    -Martin

  • @mjamosuk

Yes Martin, thanks for your work, very nice indeed !

    All the best

    Val

  • My favourite Playford tune played by a master with a fine instrument - thank you.

  • Why are you so incredible? 574 videos? , You keep me in a good mood. Keep makin the lute vids man.

  • @IHatePowerSaws

    574 ? non 575 (until tomorow..)

    ;-)

    Thanks a lot

    Val

  • You should play for a videogame. This is epic bards music.

  • @Neyowolf

Why shoud I ? I'm playing in real life, enough for my joy (and for yours I hope)

    V. ;-)

  • @Neyowolf Why should you? Because this music sounds authentically medieval. I would love to be walking around a tavern in a videogame and hear this playing.

  • @Neyowolf

So give the editors a link to my videos... ;-)

    V.

  • @Neyowolf Totally right!

  • @mxmagicus

I'm not sure... About sounding medieval, I have to confess this music by Playford is from the early baroque period or late renaissance (early XVIIth century) Medieval period ends at the XVth century... two centuries earlier, just a detail point... ;-)))) (but ok it is not really important in a video game)

  • @Luthval, Playford only collected and published these tunes in the 17th century. He didn't compose them but just collected popular tunes at the time some of which may have been popular for hundreds of years even then. Greensleeves and Portsmouth are still popular now 450 years later. So it is quite likely that some of the Playford tunes may have dated back to the medieval and Goddesses being a simpler one, that can be played within one register of a recorder, is a candidate IMHO.

  • "Déesses " divinement interprétée !

    Bravo, Mister Val !

    Rog.

  • @C6H12B26

    Merci Rog !

    Amitiés

    Val
