  • Sorry this vid failed horribly, nothing can't create something. FAIL!

  • @SuperKvance "Nothing can't create something."

    Oh look, a straw-man fallacy!

  • Dear AndromedasWake , is there any specific topology for your videos or is it ok to simply watch them in no particular order?

Astro-physics is my weaker side, it's good to have you around :)

  • The difference between "atheistic science and creation science is that the former is based on real, actual scientific fact and the latter upon an old book written by ignorant desert savages who thought the world was flat.

  • It just makes me rage how he uses the term "evolution" in contexts not related to biology and yet he there are still people thinking he knows what he is talking about.

  • @GargantuanLifeform99

We wouldn' have that problem if the christian right in this coutry would get their act together and stop being assholes. Not all christians (and in turn religious people) are creaionists but all creationists are religious. And fundamentalist religion is dangerous, it's what the US constitution was made to prevent while ensuring people cans till be religious if they choose (so long as they don't infringe on others' rights) but what do we see instead?

  • @GargantuanLifeform99 And about ridiculing creationists... well, they do the same AND worst since they have to lie and distort the facts to try to fool others into believing the ridiculous non-sense they do.

So ridiculing religious fools is not enough, we have simply to stop them as we all know how dangerous it is to let religion run free as we have the dark ages to remind us that we should be 300 years ahead and have already found the cure for cancer, AIDS, hunger etc if we were religion free

  • @GargantuanLifeform99 "contemporary physicists conjectures upon the Nature of Reality sound Theological! e.g;the Multiverse.." it does to people with very little or none at all understanding of quantum physics or the scientific method...like yourself. You have no idea, by what you just wrote, what "the scientific method" and I amo not here to hold your hand and help you cross the street but I tell you right now, science doesn't work with beliefs but facts...

  • @GargantuanLifeform99 (continues) either irrefutably disproved (earth being flat and/or the center of the universe, the earth/universe being only 6 thousands yo. etc.) or it is nothing more than speculation/made up stories of all-powerful yet ridiculously shallow-minded and jealous divine entities (the god from the bible acts worse than a spoiled teen-girl that wants to be the center of attention all the time).

So, one thing is certain, religion has nothing concrete to say about our place here!

  • @GargantuanLifeform99 "Understanding our place in the Universe is not the job of Scientists!"

Says who? You? based on what? Your faith in stone-age old fairy tales?

Sorry to burst the bubble you live in but saying scientific/empirical knowledge cannot answer philosophical questions is merely theological propaganda that you obviously bought into.

For starters, everything religious scriptures or leaders have said about the natural world and it's origin has been either irrefutably (continues)

  • I like how the word "evolution" seems to kind of just mean "evil science" to creationists.

  • "...and so evolutionary theories say that Mercury cannot have a magnetic core."

"Excuse me, sir? Can you please state what the theory of evolution is for me?"

"Absolutely. Evolutionary theory claims the universe came from nothing in six parts, Cosmic, Chemical, Stellar..."

"Right, I'm going to hand you a high school biology textbook now. Could you read sentence one in paragraph one on page one in chapter one please, starting with 'Evolution is...'"

    "No."

    "Why not?"

    "I... can't read?"

    "..."

    "..."

  • Creationism: When being wrong is considered better than admitting you don't know s**t.

  • The music makes this an epic creation owning

  • OMG de-s your audio. Great vids by the way. x

  • What other info is there on the "Core Cooling" theory?

  • Ah I thought this was actually going into the details of his speech instead of just being a big generalization. Guess no one can debunk his actual specific claims apparently. Like Mercury having a Magnetic Field. Science of the Gaps it is then.

  • @israelfnp

"Like Mercury having a Magnetic Field. "

Uh retard, AW said why that is so. And it's not retarded creationism.

Now go into the oven jew.

  • how am I supposed to think when I just wana DANCE! nice sound track

  • creationism = failed assumptions.

  • The difference between science and engineering is that in engineering, you aren't taught to not value your intelligence in favor of hard evidence. - personal reflection on why so many of these so called "scientific" creationists are from engineering backgrounds.

  • How stupid are these guys, though evolutionist say, this and that about all these topics that have nothing to do with evolution. Ehhh no theologist, say a whole lot of crap based on the bible that honestly says little to nothing on any field of science.

  • @AndromedasWake Hmm, maybe it isnt being narrorated by an outside person. Perhaps that is the real accent of the person who made this phenominal video. This is coming from a Canadian, not a British or Australian person, so there is no bias. They just happen to be smart, informed people who made the videos.

  • @AndromedasWake I love how stupid theists continually prove themselves to be.

  • @theabiotictheory yes damn them atheist with their facts and evidence it's really the British/Australian foreigners with their suave accent that convince people that there is no god!!1! not like it's possible to believe in a god without the earth being 6000 years old! damn you atheists!

  • @heavenlyheathen Why don't atheists ever accurately portray the 6 thousand year \ 14 billion year argument? They frame it as if a christian chooses the biblical date, then he's willfully ignorant of the science. I've reviewed the science and it is absolutely preposterous. It's basically a 14 billion year long thread of one highly improbable event followed by a succession of increasingly more highly improbable events. Who says you don't need faith to be an atheist.

  • @heavenlyheathen How did the moon form. A large Mars sized object floating through space one day collided with earth and hung around to become our moon. The massive impact also gave us our 24 hour day and the seasons. It seems atheist science uses these cosmic collisions as sort of a magic wand to explain away any problem that conflicts with their precious models. Instead of becoming creationists, they simply become more creative.

  • @theabiotictheory Except, you know, the whole part where there's real evidence supporting all of those collisions. I'm sorry that it's hard for you to accept that the early solar system was replete with cosmic collisions or that those collisions played a part in solar formation. Your entire argument is essentially how you don't like it; science doesn't care about personal preference. It relies on evidence. Cosmic bodies slamming into each other is a fairly common occurrence.

  • @theabiotictheory What's your alternative? A magical sky daddy? Does that explanation fit the evidence? If we have the Chicxulub Crater, over twenty years worth of detailed information in various fields including sedimentology, paleontology, geophysics, geochemistry, and climate modelling by dozens of experts from a wealth of institutions concluding that the impact was responsible for the Cretaceous-Tertiary extinction, you say it's untrue because it involved a bolide impact. Evidence be damned.

  • @heavenlyheathen How come the martian atmosphere is so thin? It became forever changed after an encounter with an asteroid. Why does Uranus have that unusual tilt? An asteroid smashed into it and knocked it over. According to planetary spacing guidelines, there theoretically should be a planet between Mars and Jupiter because of the usually large distance between the two. There was but an asteroid impact knocked it off its orbit and propelled it towards the sun where it incinerated.

  • @heavenlyheathen This video with its mention of an object smashing into Mercury and reducing its size is a familiar explanation from atheist science. Why does the rotation of Venus contradict current atheist science models? An asteroid collided with it causing it to turn in the wrong direction. Why caused the sudden extinction of the dinosaurs? An asteroid crashed into Mexico 65 million years ago causing catastrophic climate change and choking them all off.

  • @theabiotictheory "res ipsa loquitur" in the absence of evidence to the contrary you are clearly a dickhead

  • @theabiotictheory ????????????????????

  • @theabiotictheory

Brits and Australians are MORE INTELLIGENT than your creationist self. LOL

  • @theabiotictheory how so?

  • @theabiotictheory

    Just another day in AMERIKUH.

  • @theabiotictheory

    hahahahahahahahahahahaha

  • @theabiotictheory What kind of babbling bullshit are you talking about? Would you like to point out one, just one, instance of 'bunk'?

  • @theabiotictheory Idiot, maybe it's because they're smarter than you Americans? And you call it bunk, but you obviously don't listen to what they say, you just come here, troll, and go read the bible...

  • @theabiotictheory

Maybe because on the other side of the Atlantic people aren't idiots and wish to undermine education in the name of religion.

  • I'm currently having an argument with a creationist but we can't get to the good stuff because we are stuck on his mixing of sciences. He says stuff like "evolution has trouble with mercury blah blah blah". I'm trying to tell him that the explanation of biodiversity and common decent doesn't comment on bloody mercury. I say that's astronomy and he looks at me like I'm just not getting it. It's difficult to destroy years of hovindist brainwashing in one argument.

  • 6:30

    EGGS!

  • "I have a degree in Jesus" HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAH

  • Thanks for your great videos, AndromedasWake. I'm a working scientist and there's a bunch of info I didn't know in here, not being an astrophysicist.

That's not to mention the LOLs and ROFLs at the expense of the poor creationists who you totally PWN, bud.

    Subscribing, and telling my friends...

  • ohhh only 347 dislikes, one of the christian wackjobs got confused and dropped off by now.

  • I take issue with your insinuation about electrical engineers. *thinking* "Fuck why didn't I just read phsyics?!"

  • I wish I could thumbs up your entire channal...

  • Gordon Freeman is not a nuclear physicist, he's a theoretical physicist. COME ON!

  • I don't get just one thing; Why they call EVERYTHING(literally everything that they are countering with their pseudo-science) 'evolutionary theory'...

And why the hell always when they actually DO talk about evolution state that it explains the origin of life(as it apparently does not, nor can)?

I mean how you can even reason someone like that?

Can i learn someone to differ 50% blue from 50% red if that one is a daltonist...

  • 347 creationists watched this.

  • Thanks Andromeda'sWake for that. Neat clip -well done. :-)

Just one small nit with it - I think the sulphur you note at the 7 min. 25-30 second mark was found on volcanic Io and not water-ice Europa.

    Otherwise, its awesome. :-)

  • there may be some things that evolution has not explained (there are some things) but certainly, there is NO evidence against common ancestory, the details still need working out but common ancestory is an undeniable fact

  • TY AndromedasWake, for debunking Spike Psarris finally. That smug gave us engineers a bad name for claiming creation has any fulfilling explanation against cosmology.

See, the point of a discussion, where one side is science and the other is creationists, is that ideas are exchanged and eventually one sides' ideas will prevail with rational, respectful arguments that stand on their own.

So far, I have yet to see 1 creationist fully acknowledge 1 countering scientific idea.

    Stubborn fellas.

  • you did not show any fact just boblboblblb

  • @drshamast Some clarity and specifics would be nice when communicating opinions.

  • I'm really starting to think getting a degree in chemistry will be a piece of cake, regarding grades, because these creationists with degrees don't seem to be very smart or either telling lies to sell books. I'm hoping it's selling lies, they can't be that stupid. I can understand scientists in the past, a lot wasn't know but the lay can understand the basics of what's now discovered. The people listening are even worse. Did they take a high school Biology class?

  • Lol at the morgan freeman and O RLY? YA RLY.

  • What do you mean by "Natural Formation" since for something to be formed it has to be natural.

  • @mrhnm Meaning that these things formed due to natural (and observable) processes, as opposed to "Magic Man dunnit." Planet and star formation are not related to life, so them being lumped under evolution is just stupid.

In response to the video, this quote is just too perfect. "Science knows it doesn't know everything, otherwise it'd stop." - Dara O'Briain

  • @whybag Ok thanks for the clarifacation.

    PS Awesome quote.

  • The frequency with which that guy used the word evolution in his “lecture” about the solar system is an embarrassment to all human kind.

  • Can't believe I never thought to subscribe to your channel before now. Best dedicated series focused around cosmology yet.

  • First of all, I wouldn't DREAM of understanding an infinitesimal part of the theories being presented. My doubt rests in the fact that creationist and theists DEMAND that science proves EVERY DETAIL OF EVERY THEORY EVER PRESENTED, while (conveniently) not offering a sliver of proof to ANY of their theories.

When they say God created... they do not offer ANY SHRED OF A HINT OF PROOF.

Shouldn't we ask them for spark of proof?????

  • An Eon is really not that long on the scale of a solar system anyway.

  • I was born into a creationist family and I believe it really stifled me. I was installed a sort of subtle paranoia about science, but three years ago when I was 17, I really began studying science. I had the original intention of proving myself right, but with the greatest humility I found I was so very wrong and brainwashed with fear of hell. I became a brand-new person, "born again" you may say (pun intended). I'd like to thank the internet and people like you for sharing science. Logic rules.

  • @VanKlaunch that's awesome man, i myself have been atheist since i was very young (currently 19) but many of my friends have over the past few years gone through similar experiences to yours. it's always nice to see people figuring things out for themselves and not accepting the crap they are fed on a spoon! peace.

  • @0ngus I grew up in the Bible-Belt and still live there, and being an atheist here is seen with fear and misunderstanding, just like how most people here view homosexuals and minorities. I have and wear a shirt that says: "Atheism: A non-prophet organization". Instead of laughs and smiles for the wittiness of said shirt, I usually just get awkward, disturbed looks. Most of the people are good, nice people, but when it comes to certain subjects, they are just completely off their rockers.

  • "Evolutionary theories say that Mercury cannot have a magnetic field. But it does!"

WOAH!! WTF does magnetic fields have to do with evolution?? O.o

Where do you find these guys?? This incredible stupidity and/or dishonsty is just so through the roof that I think my socks just spontaneously burst into fire!

... yes... indeed, they did :-o

  • 7:19 Mofuggas gonna droppa the preshaaaaahh :D

  • "And I recommend it to both Creationists, and honest decent people alike"

    BURN!

  • @tipoomaster Bazinga!

  • Thanks for posting this. I have almost always loved astronomy. The only time I disliked the subject was when I was a young man on lookout duty on a Cdn warship sailing the Pacific. On the first clear night since we sailed on the way to Hawaii, I reported an aircraft... It was Mars. In my defence, I'm a city kid. The best place to look at the sky is not on land, it's in the middle of an ocean, too bad that's not practical for an observatory...

  • Wow, apart from everything else - which you adressed nicely - I just can't believe he keeps talking about "Evolution" not being able to explain Mercury.

  • 2:47 - Half-Life was a documentary

  • @Anghellik9 Of course!

  • You speech is a little fast. But the information and the process of how you arrived at it was brilliant. I personally am interested in the origin of Mars's moons. It's an oddity for me how they got there? I don't think they formed with Mars; My best guess would be there are bits of Mars that got chiseled of from an Asteroid impact. Keep up the good work.

  • Your videos are absolutely amazing.

  • religious fundamentalism eating this planet !! glad some like andromedaswake exist to open the eyes of the people science is like freedom ,open the doors of the true with dignity !!! :)

  • lol, Kent Hovind has a degree in Jesus

  • Brilliant stuff, Andromeda's wake!

Great music, clear narration, and strong visuals make for great vids.

  • The immunity of creationists to science no matter how basic can be summerised thusly:

NeoCon v Radical Islam = ruthless attempt to manifest ignorant slave pool to service hypocritical elite.

  • I love watching these videos, but on the other hand I kind of die inside when I see how stupid these creationists can be. Keep up the good work; your videos are top-notch.

  • I know the feeling.

Watching Thunderfoot's Why Do People Laugh At Creatonists certainly showed a whole new world of ignorance and denial I did not know existed

  • its good that you stay in your field of study, I don;t like it when people who pretend to be experts and talk about every topic... I still don't understand how that one creationist is an astrophysicist and still doesn't believe the universe is old lol makes no sense...

  • Let him though :)

IHe can't do much harm scientifically, anything he writes must be peer reviewed. Basically due to the system, he can either do nothing or improve our knowlage. So diversity in ideas is a good thing from a scientific viewpoint :). You can almost look at the scientific system as an evolutionary system. The more variation, the better the outcome I guess :)

  • "thanks to everyone that has sent in crap" rofl...

  • wtf is an electronic engineer doing talking about mercury? lots of circuit boards up there i guess.

  • so i am guessing that you know more about mercury than he does? He did work for Nasa a organization specializing in space.

  • wtf are you babbling about? A bachelors degree in electronic engineering=dont know shit about mercury. Do you also believe the guy who cleans the shitters for the astronauts is an expert on mercury too? He does work for nasa you know.

  • @adam9920042004 The fundie speaker is NOT a PhD in astrophysics. What makes you think he has some unique insights that that literally THOUSANDS OF BRILLIANT scientists who ARE PhDs. In this video...he makes DUMB statements that confound physics and biology...he is bogus no matter where he worked...given the gross scientific errors he makes in just these few minutes he could have just as easily been the Janitor at NASA!

  • Why oh why do people in this day and age still

need to jump to the 'god hypothesis' to explain

every damned thing we don't understand yet? Even

as the scientific answers are unfolding right

before our very eyes every day?!

  • Thank you Andromedaswake for your work and efforts to help us, humans, get rid of faith based lies that have been holding us back from understanding our place in the universe.

  • superb video very interesting. one suggestion though, turn down the music a little it distracts from the actual content of the video

  • haha a degree in Jesus must be worth less than a degree in liberal arts!

  • nah. As long as you avoid getting busted for fraud or tax evasion you can make a killing.

  • I love these videos.

Theory in general isn`t an all out explanation; it`s a hypothesis that acts as model. If Additional data is found to disprove a previous theory, then it is thrown out and a new theory fitting the evidence is adopted. This is the scientific method. Like you said in the video; gaps aren`t proof of a god, it`s just the standard scientific method.

Wanting to know more about the universe seems obvious. I pity creationalists who are content with ignorance .

  • (raises eyebrow) Smack My Bitch Up, dearie? You got style.

    -BJ

  • Spike Psarris is just like Kirk Cameron and other creationists that claim to have been athiests. They were non religious. There is a huge difference.

Non religious-doesn't follow a religion. Makes no claim about the existence of Gods

Atheism-doesn't follow a religion. Claims (hopefully backed by scientific study, reason and logic) that there are no Gods, or the existence of Gods is unlikely

  • no. atheism is commonly referred to as a LACK of belief in a deity. not saying there isnt one.

  • sorry, but what's the difference exactly? if you lack a belief in a deity, you'll happily say there isn't one.

  • The exact difference lies in the gnosticism of the beliefs ; A non-religious person is mostly unaware of religious ideas and concepts and thus ignores religious beliefs based on a lack of knowledge of it - an atheist knows of religious ideas, of concepts, and choses not to believe in them for various reasons - in other words, an atheist is a knowledgable disbeliever, whilst a non-religious person is unknowledgable as a disbeliever.

  • Lol... nuclear physics => Gordon Freeman

  • Go Gordon, bring on Ep 3, what's keeping it?

  • Is AndromedasWake also "NonStampCollector?" Just wondering - they have very similar voices.

  • No, definitely different people.

  • The 3rd flyby of mercury by Messenger is coming on the 29th of september. Looks like we are about to find out even more about Mercury. :)

  • Love this series Andromeda. I would love to see more!

  • Gordon Freeman!?!

    Good stuff!

  • Why even address a man who doesn't even know what the theory of evolution describes.

  • I love the visuals you provide. Some of it is quite stunning! kudos!

  • Nasa photo`s of Mercury & our moon are to simular to dismiss.

Nasa`s photo`s of the outer gas planets also seem to have a distubing relationship to our inter planet with the prespective of a astroid belt seperating the inter and outer groups..

I can`t find a logical evolution pattern to the structure of our solar system as produced by Nasa photo`s.

Unless we have has some type of a planet impacted colision that started it all.

Is Nasa`s photo`s all a fraud and everything is wrong?

  • Mercury is frozen ON THE NIGHT SIDE because the solar wind has blown away its atmosphere. It's SCORCHING on the day side. This is because, sans atmosphere, heat can't convect to the other side. Venus is much farther out, so the the solar wind has much less effect on the atmosphere and is further reduced by the EM field (if it still has one, but it does spin rather slowly to maintain it). The atmosphere is also held in by Venus' gravity and produces a greenhouse effect, heating the planet.

  • Venus sound like a early earth after the collision...and Mercury sound like the moon object that just hit a planet. that killed off the dinasours...LOL

It must be great to look back in time...LOL

  • the creationist literally can't have his way with a rational person cause even IF (and they haven't been able on any level so far) they succeed to disprove anything that is not in any way evidence for their point - not in any - even if they somehow prove that ALL science is wrong that doesn't make them right ....

so their whole assertion is meaningles

  • I Personally don`t have a opinion on creation or evolution..

Why bother, both of them have so many flaws..

Here what I know as fact

You don`t have to believe in a God to fall under a dogmatic belief system.

Science is stuck in a dogmatic rut..

Astologers have not taken that quantum leap in their astrological observations Thus they are still dogmatic as to their belief systems.

If quantum theory can be proven & black whole are real.

We will be on the threshold of a whole new beginning.

  • you can view it that way but u have to take in account that scientific dogma isn't literally dogma - it's changeable - whereas religious dogma is not only unchangeable but unquestionable - so i don't find it even similar...

well to each his own, as long as it doesn't encroach on my crap... :)

  • I agree that why I am challenging science and astrologers..

I read it takes a generation to pass before science dogma is ready to move ahead to the next level of understanding..

Quantum theory is that next step.

Religion have gone threw several changes as well.

Most of the christian Dogma is either Egyptian and or Krishna teachings..

I`ll be glad when all religions goes away..

Religion hold us back on a personal level of growth..

It take a lot longer for a faith to change it`s idea`s

  • agreed

  • why do you keep talking about astrologers. they have nothing to do with science.

  • ...Have you ever heard about a book called micobiology meets cosmology..

Everything in earth science could have a cosmic connection..

If quantum mechanics theory is proven we will of found out where the partical go when they disapear for that fraction of a second.

I just love the last sceen in the movie men in black 2

  • No,you are not "challenging science and astrologers" or even science and astronomers.

But you are making about as much sense as an astrologer.

Science is not dogmatic either,it wouldn't be science if it was.

  • Science is not dogmatic either,it wouldn't be science if it was.

    OH yeah...LOL

What do you call a new science technology that main stream scientist just won`t except as a discovered new science fact..

    Dogmatic? or just fucking greed.....LOL

  • Oh yeah, what new science technology has science not accepted then?

If it's HHO gas production don't even bother to reply.

  • my friend you are stuck in the OLD science...I won`t even bother to show you the new science if you haven`t been keeping up...

  • No,come on,enlighten us then? I've seen those stoopid free energy vids in your channel.

If thats what you are going on about I'll dare you to post info cos I'll tear you a new one with simple physics.

Just cos its on TV don't make it true.

  • my channel is just to wake people up..It`s not a science channel..

If you like science why don`t you google frozen light

  • ok saw that,it's interesting research but not 'new science' that old science doesnt recognise like you stated so put up or shut up.

  • Shut UP?

Well... WE must be touchie? You where most likely one of those guy in your past life that screamed; She a witch, She a witch, burn the witch..

You`ll really have to watch the Monty Python video skit. When ask why she was a witch the crowd had no good answer ..But gave a rather stupid answer. LIKE

WELL SHE LOOK LIKE A WITCH The judge ask what does a witch look like?

That`s when it get really fun. Watch the skit some time and ask yourself if that`s the way you to people at time.

  • No such things as past lives retard an no I'm not touchy, put up or shut up is a common expression.

It means state your case or shut up and don't waste my time, and you didn't answer me(surprise.....not!)so fuck off and go learn some basic physics and stop wasting my time.

She doesn't look like a witch but you just look like shit, retard

  • You do a good job of proving my point...LOL

  • Your are welcome to delude yourself but you havent even made a point.

Trying to debate with a fundie is like playing chess with a pigeon who knocks the pieces over and takes a crap on the board and then claims victory, just like you have just done.

  • I will ask a question..

Are we at the end of all advancments of science technologies?

I am going to ask another question..

Do you want the world to alway be in subjection to a greed commercial elites system?

    And my third question is..

Do you know what real freedom is?

  • 42 Forty two

  • Alright, you've got the Answer. Now, what's the Question?

  • Yeah right mr 'free energy' has spoken.........shit.

C'mon genius, tell us about the new science old science won't accept? Magnetic motors?

    HHO gas power?

Any other crap you care to mention,we are listening(and sniggering)

  • Only thing I don't enjoy about this series is that I can't read and listen at the same time. If I'm reading I miss the audio. If I'm listening I miss the written words. Damn my simple mind. Kudos otherwise!

  • I just wet myself at the 3:00ish mark.

"In your Quantum Box... maybe" XD I'm getting that poster :p

  • um in your quantum box.....maybe lmfao cats always know best i like how during the black plague it was made worse cause they killed off evil witch cats that ate all the plague rats score one for religion again

  • i agree spike doesnt know what he is talking about. but he like some creation scientists and some evolution/ "professional"scientists are not speaking on behalf of science but merely to combat each others own beliefs/religions.

  • Fuck, you need a De- S -er.

  • argg now all I can here is the SSSSSSSSSS

  • i can't get over how awsome your disclaimer is

    XD

  • Hahahaha the song is by Prodigy- Smack My Bitch Up.

  • Does the bible even mention mercury at all...? I mean, explicitly? Let me guess, no, the fucking earth was at the center. Duh.

  • Holy f'in shit... How Mercury EVOLVED?

Creationists really don't have a clue at all, and whilst this is not a new fact, the depth of their ignorance never ceases to amaze.

  • 0:29 evolutonary astronomy ?WTF!

  • 2:46

    "nuclear physics" lol

  • 2:47

    Resonance Cascade!!!

  • Wow, how do you manage to watch these creationist videos, without your head imploding.

  • what does biological evolution have to do with the physics of planet formation?

  • nothing at all. for the creationist evolution = science in general.

  • Nice vid! I really don't get the link between Mercury and evolution that is posed by this Spike figure. The main problem is ignorance, not because people have a religion, but because they fail to understand the subjects they're trying to disprove.

  • I'm a real creationist and you are doing a good job getting the CRAP exposed, these guys drive me nuts... You have got these creationist who are not so brilliant scrutinizing your theories and in responce you scrutinize there scrutiny (and insult them). If your theories are true then proving them is the best way to debunk creationism..

  • If you understood science, you'd know that theories can never be proven or verified absolutely. The scientific method can only partially verify, or falsify scientific theores. Creationism is not a scientific theory; not even a scientific hypothesis. I only need to falsify the statements of the creationist, as the burden of proof lies with him/her.

  • your haughty jibes denote frustration. it's not incumbent upon me to understand science (that's what scientists are for); no more than it is for you to know how to remove a brain tumor (that's what surgeons are for). in my world, science and God can coexist because i'm not a fundamentalist crackpot like the targets in your videos. i will keep my belief and never impose it on those who wish to believe otherwise. simply put, this means that it is up to you to PROVE me wrong. good debunking to you.

  • Obviously if someone is vastly more intelligent than you they're opinions are worth more than that of an uninformed or ignorant person. You've just admitted your inherent ignorance, which autamatically devalues any opinions you might have. In other words, "your world" is extremely negligible. In most cases you can't prove a negative, so the statement continues to devalue your opinion.

Sorry if I came off like a wanker, but I hate fallacies. See ya, m8.

  • did a pinhead just say something to me? looking to curry favour with someone are we? i can just imagine you in the workplace... pain in the ass. i can't stand sycophants. do you get beat up a lot? oh... God bless, noodoo19.

  • -And let the childish insults commence. Just proves you haven't got anything smart to say. Fuck Andromeda, fuck him up his Nebula. I just had something I wanted to say.

  • Btw I wasn't talking about Andromedas specificly when I answered you, if that's what you were thinking.

  • May I ask, why do you need god?

  • i've gotta tell ya that i find this ongoing arguement between the creationists and non to be childish and petty. what if you were to replace the creationists' (some, not all) strict adherence to the Bible's timelines with the belief that the origin of the universe is as modern cosmology states it is, but that God set all of THAT in motion? would there still be an arguement, or just a difference of opinion? how could/would science empirically refute that? arrogance = bad, on any side.

  • Science doesn't refute gods or magic. It merely has a track record for exposing anything that was ever attributed to a god as having a natural cause. Putting god as merely the prime mover is simply a god of the gaps argument. It's naive to think there can't be natural "causes" for our universe. Since science has systematically improved our knowledge, and god continuously been pushed back, I think it's perfectly fair to assume one method is better than the other.

  • forgive the 3 part response...

for the record, i am a believer in science and appreciate where it has taken humanity (the obvious misuses aside). at the same time however, i like the idea of God; not this malevolent entity who threatens with horrific punishment, but one who set up this truly sublime universe for us to discover; created it to follow the rules we continue to uncover and then got out of the way and allowed us free will.

  • (1/2) You might like the idea of a deity, but what use is that in understanding the Universe? If your idea can't be falsified, it's meaningless in understanding the natural world. But that's not the real issue. If you are willing to postulate supernatural creation, you've violated the philosophy of naturalism, and have no good reason not to simply say that YEC is true, and that the Universe was supernaturally created to look old. Your only reason for believing otherwise is because you *like* the

  • (2/2) idea of a deity who isn't malevolent, but kind. You haven't infered anything about said deity, but rather just applied that characteristic to it yourself. Why? Because you *like* it. This method for understanding things (ie. making untestible things up and applying characteristics to them) is very inferior to the scientific method. Saying "Perhaps he did it this way.." is just mindless, unfalsifiable speculation. No better than Russel's teapot. This mysticism is always trumped by science.

  • That is amazing how you can infer my entire view of the universe from a comment i made on your video. that is mystic. Sorry If you don't like my choice of wording. You can replace "prove" with "Further validate to the point that there is no evidence against it." Your rignt it's not fair that the burden of prof is with science and not creationism. Like you said creationism isn't a science. If god created the universe don't you think it mignt be the only way to understand the universe

  • When a theory is proven (yes, none have) they become scientific fact. philoshophically thinking: if it is true it can't be proven wrong. Right! Accept creationist theories as a means of futher validating your own theories by debunking them. thats what im saying. Don't be a butt hurt bitch about it.

You haved debunked what I had thought were good creationist argument in astronomy. good job! Please keep making videos.
