@lj53534 You get items randomly, once an hour and 6 items a week. No selection on it whatsoever. He's been playing for years and plays fairly oftenly, as well as probably having a generous fan base so it must happen fairly often. There are some items that came from specific class updates (go to the wiki teamfortress com for more details on...pretty much everything). Anywho, you can get the sandman as an achievement item if you get 16 of the scout's achievements. (easy way: achievement server)

How do you get so many items? Seriously, I play the game pretty often (24 hours in the past 2 weeks) and I've only got 3 maybe 4 new items. I used to play a lot back when Orange Box came out but I didn't pick it back up until the free update came out basically and seriously I'm getting no item drops cept through achievements.
