Hello Mik, This was outstanding and very faithful to the actual movie score. I enjoyed this piece immensely. I have become a big fan of your productions. Keep up the great work!!!!!!!
I wish I could hit the like button 100 times. This is so perfect and awesome. I seriously hope this is more than just a hobby for you. You are very talented and should be making some serious coin as the gifted musician you are. Bravo, bravo, bravo. I can't say enough.
Totally amazing! Like your other videos as well. I am even considering buying an Ensoniq ESQ-1 (I suppose the ESQ1-M module version is exactly the same?) and a MicroKorg. Kudos for the world class sounds you get from the not so world class priced gear!

Beautifully upbeat ending music as the happy android couple makes a clean getaway under Gaff's watchful, knowing eyes... just a matter of time before your game, etc. soundtracks hit the stores!
I've actually the 8 polyphony lends to some interesting and unexpected things, I don't think I'd have it any other way. Kinda reminds me of how you have to play a little differently on a Mellotron, spider fingers or whatever they call it.
wow somebody using a juno g, i got one not that long ago, everybody slags it off.. buy i love mine, could you give me the patch notes or any info on what you used on the juno g? and also on the micro korg mabie :) ?... awsome btw, sounds so much like the orginal
Wow...I'm going through all of the videos on your channel and they just keep getting better. This is amazing. I feel an ebay session coming on. I need a Juno G!!
Hi...this is awesome. A great tribute to one off the greatest electronica composer. I got ESQm myselfs and its a very powerful synth 3 osc to work with and a great analog filter. You have nailed that Vangelis soundscape perfectly. What kind of mastering did you use for this one? Is it just the Behringer efx/mixer and comp? Keep it up
The best I ever heard !! I´m using a juno g , juno 106 , Juno 60, moog voyager , Akai sampler , sh 201 , access virus . But you are very professionell , I think you are a musican. Great !! Greetings Ralf
Fantastic cover of one of my favorite Vangelis tunes, and Ghosts of Nemo is absolutely beautiful!! My favorite kind of synth sound. Keep up the amazing work!
you're very talented for recreating THE VaNGELIS ATMOSPHERE...well done...very impressive..i'm working on the cover of all the titles of spiral...i'll send you when it will be finished..
don't worry about the 8 voices. As long as you have other sound engines you're fine. I only use it's sequencer and 1 or 2 patches to make tracks. depending on it's previous owner the ESQ patches can be decieving. Give it some time and mess about with the patches to get it's full potential:)
OMG. This is unbelievable. Particularly good composition for the Nemo section - superb ! I especially love the Chung Kuo style fat bass line pad sound you bring in at around 4:00 (and most evident between 4:12 and 4:20 - I could listen to those bass synth sounds all day). I also love the way you bridge the two pieces with an echo of the Blade Runner main theme (the 3 chords at 4:00). This isn't just in the style of Vangelis....hell I think you ARE Vangelis !
thankyou for the great comments. The bass sound you refer to is a patch from my ESQ1 and great you spotted it, I thought the same thing as you when making the track. It just seems to sit perfectly :)
Wow! Have heard the original in my brothers car a few times, this is absolutely briliant! Ghost of Nemo part 1 one is also V nice. Will have to watch this again a few times in the future. ;-)
Production quality is in the Vangelis league. Absolutely amazing imagination shown in the ghosts of Vangelis section. I've taken a while to respond because I did'nt know what to say! Simply awesome. I see you like my idea for the space sequence too!
Well done. Nice production, great sounds and interesting video edit. Keep on the good work! :) Which Juno-G patch did you use? Or which internal samples if you made it by yourself. Do you use a SRX-Board. I have the Analog Essentials which have some nice Vangelis-ish sounds. bye bye
Thanks. junoG for the strings, timpani and bells, all presets. I didn't sample anything from the original Vangelis track, I used my sampler to get rezo and filter effects/sweeps from the juno6 . The ESQ 1 is the other main synth in this track, for the "CS80" sound and the elec. piano in the second part.
Just a question... Is that string sound really coming from the Juno G? Thats very close to how some of my JP-8000 string sounds sound. I would'nt have expected that out of the G! I'll put some of the tracks I'm working on up one day when I pull my finger out so you can compare!
Yep the strings are from the Juno G, I'll get an mp3 off to you shortly. You might want to check if you have the latest download of flashplayer if the video is freezing etc. Also, when you click for the stereo version, the mono version is often still there , so try closing the first page after the stereo version starts playing. It's a pain in the ass I know!
Whoa momma, thats exellent! Its great to see someone develop their talent like you have. The only problem I have is for some reason it stops downloading halfway through and I dont get to hear ghosts of nemo!!! My opinion is that its good not to be exact when doing covers, keep it loose and creative like the original man himself. If I saw Vangelis live, and he did this I'd be very impressed! I know this is cheeky, but any chance of a mp3? :)
Wow. I go away for a while and come back to see many news videos. This is a very faithful Blade Runner cover, and I really love the atmospheric Ghosts of Nemo - it's beautiful yet makes me feel sad at how fast time flies by when I look at those old photos. I look forward to hearing what you have for us next.
cheers , ghosts of nemo has been a labour of love for the past month or so, i've binned about a dozen tracks, but hoping to have a part two in the future. The bladerunner cover came up because I was trying to get the arpeggiator of the juno 6 to sync with the ESQ's sequencer (manually lol) and used the bassline from BR endititles to do it. Then dedcided I would give the whole track a try, it's far from perfect but i liked how it sounded, thanks again!
You are so amazing !!! : )
