• Matt Chamberlain is freakin' amazing.

  • We need more Fiona apple 2011

  • @epidemic1234567890 yeah man, but thats the thing with true/real artists, they only write when they really need to express their emotions

  • Everything about this is SO BEAUTIFUL. I LOVE HER!!!

  • Does anyone know if she's working on a new album? I need more Fiona!

  • @1991stacy She is and it was to be out this spring. Almost summer now. Bing Fiona Apple new CD or something like that.

  • Oh god, she was on the same episode as Dubya? That is something.

  • Matt Chamberlain! Also, she brings the best of Patti Smith and Janis Joplin to mind

  • Fiona Apple you rock !!!!

  • what a voice =o

  • Matt is very good and deserves respect. Remember Fiona was smart enough and knows music so well that she picked Matt to be her drummer. She now has Charley Draten (SP?) who is excellent also.

  • Tidal was the first CD I ever brought. I ran out and got the CD after seeing Sleep to Dream on Mtv, the lyrics just grabbed me, she is one of my favorite song writes she lends a voice to all of us socially awkward girls.

  • Audio of Shadow Boxer is what first got me hooked on Fiona. This is one of the first videos I watched and got me hooked on the live performing Fiona. I'm kind of new to the internet and never saw a live performance until this.

  • i love the foot shuffle thing she's doing lol shes just awesome!

  • raw

    love it

  • it's odd to see her singing away from the piano....

  • I love how Matt Chamberlain is totally tearing it up in the bridge/drum break, and yet the camera man is focused on Fiona's best Cousin It impression.

Love Fiona, but give that drummer some RESPECT! He's killer!

  • @mark3ve Too right, he's a super player, he deserves all the success that comes his way.

  • @mark3ve ohh, I totally agree, I couldn't even focus on her, the drums distracted me lol

  • @mark3ve fuck yeah!!!!! matt is the man.

  • I love her Jazz/Blues sound. I like Steel Dan because of that also. They aren't exactly the same I know. I like Fiona's personality to!

  • how old were u?

  • i was 8 years old :D

  • i miss fiona

  • The drummer in this video is Matt Chamberlein. He played on most of her studio albums. He is also the drummer for Tori Amos (check out her song -Cornflake Girl with Matt playing live) and played on the Pearl Jam "Ten" album and the Wallfflowers studio albums. He first gained notoriety by playing with Edie Brickell and the New Bohemians and played for a year as the house drummer on SNL.

  • @cgdrum close, but on 'Ten' the drum tracks are Dave Krusen.

  • I like the dancing......

  • Holy shit, she is just so damn beautiful. And so beautifully talented, there's no denying that.

  • Groove and chops are things in themselves, yes . . . but during his solo (even though slightly rushed), that drummer's phrasing . . . wow!

  • indeed! beside josh freese, he is one of the most booked stuido drummers! played on ten (pealr jam) and tori amos and garbage and and and

  • I like the mix between piano and guitar! :D

  • God! I love Fiona! She is just soooo "Fiona". She gets sooo into the song. So real!

    xoxo

  • LOVE HER!

  • Great song !!!

  • fiona is so fantastic!

  • i like her hair.

  • she's just amazing

  • love fiona more everyday!!!!!!!

  • i love how angry she gets...she feels every part of her music to it's depth.

  • o hai matt chamberlain

  • I remember someone commenting on her dancing by saying, "I didn't know Cousin It was epileptic." (Not saying I endorce those comments, okay? So don't flame me. Thanks.)

    I love Fiona. She's beautiful.

  • i love how she is acting on the stage, she is really feeling it

  • I do that dance too when I'm feeling cranky and needing to exorcise my demons. It's so endearing to watch her go from ferocious in the performance to giddy at the end. I think she would make an incredible actress . . . she's so brilliant at conveying emotion of every form. She is amazing at combining strength and fragility in her music and performances. She is an unparalleled talent among today's generation of female singer-songwriters, IMO. I could gush about her all day long! <3333333

  • Focusing on appearance takes away from the performance. She doesn't need to hire a stylist because she's beautiful as is.

  • @chilichocolate

    very well said.

  • @chilichocolate Exactly. She looks like some kind of goddess, even when she's not wearing any makeup. Flawless.

  • if you think so, you know anything 'bout going natural, she's lovely just the way she is, she has no need to change o hire anybody, being natural and the way that she always show herself, is the way to proove that she's perfect just as she is

  • You're a shallow person.

  • i think her songs are those type which cannot be "covered" by other artists, no matter how talented they are. the songs are just screaming FIONA and pure artistry. you can't just "copy" that. :)

  • I never knew Cousin It was epileptic...

She has such an emotionally powerful voice. =)

  • oh wow. calm down everyone. she does her own thing...that's what's so cool about her.

    but yeah, I ♥ fiona apple. =]

  • What the fuck is she suppose to do, break out in choroegraphed dancing? She's not Britney or Beyonce. Her dancing was connected to her music, so respect that shit.

  • Thats what those brainwashed MTV kids expect nowadays. they gotta have a sexy choroegraphed Dancing Jerk Show. Its about Music godammit!

  • its called enjoying the music if you watched alanis concert she also do that kind of shit

  • what a beautiful, talented, neuro-case.

  • anyone has the video of her performing O' Sailor on Letterman??

  • as far as her "dancing" goes...what the hell else is she suppose to do during the break? Stand there with her finger in her nose? Personally, I like to see artists express themselves, even when they fall flat on their faces. I admire the effort. Not to mention the balls it takes to open yourself to the criticisms of the knuckle draggers walking this planet.

  • Exactly! I LOVE seeing Fiona go postal and Cousin It rules. Fuck being like everyone else! She's so intense and diabolically delicious when performing this song. Mad love for Fiona! <333

  • diabolically delicious...love it.

  • how come, the audience didn't laugh, when she started to dance? :P

  • your all gay

    ('_')

  • fiona apple and ani difranco are leading the fight against those talentless spoilt image conscience felines like brittany, christina and yes even madogga

  • Fiona Apple? Talentless? You are so far from wrong right isnt in your vocab. Fiona Apple has her own style and EVERY song she has written has deep meaning. Ass >.> Dont talk about what you dont know, and if you dont like her, why take the time to even watch this video? just to bash? someone has no fucking life.

  • if you knew how to read you would see that i agree with you.

  • you're right ma'am

  • When she has those lil trips, just shows how really ''real'' Fiona is about what's she singing. Not some artist that sings what is written, but really useing the feeling.

  • i wanna smoke a lot of pot w her..yum

  • That is an amazing album. She's an angst-ridden hottie sorta like a female Beck. Go Fiona!

  • I love this. My favourite artist. <333

  • Freakin unbelievable. Love you Fiona.

  • AWESOME

  • *sigh* i adore her spastic dancing.
