  • Good review but, seriously, those foam plugs are looking a bit funky man! Time for a change methinks!!!

  • im a co pilot with malaysia airlines. was wondering if the mic can be positioned on the right side of the face since im flying on the right hand seat. i prefer it that way. thanks.

  • Tried these for a few months...must say that these are ridiculously over priced for what they are. Good idea but this China special costs them 8 bucks to make. They should retail for closer to $179. And those extra ear plugs for $24 are a huge ripoff, try $3. I hate "David Clamps" just as much as the next guy but it's suckers like us (including myself) that set the market value for this type of product. Demand higher quality materials and ergonomics for your hard earned dollar! Case included!

  • He's got dirty ears!

  • @Mike2thousand Thanks for the recommendation on the custom ear molds. I will certainly check those out. Probably saves money in the long run from not having to buy ear tip canal replacements all the time, depending on how often you replace them.

    Much appreciated!

  • I love my clarity aloft headset but couldn't stand the little foam tips. Look how dirty and nasty they are in the video. I like mine so much better with some custom silicone earplug molds. I bought mine at L2K technologies, they had some decent prices on them. I think the site was "l2ktech.com"

  • The QC series can only be on the left ear also, and I thought it was going to be more inconvenient from the right seat than it actually is. Either way, you'll probably upgrade eventually right?

  • Thanks - I love my Clarity Alofts. But I will check out those Bose you mentioned. How you liking them so far?

  • Nice review. Too bad I just got a Bose QC15 for my birthday, this one might've been a good one to try.

  • Just found out the mike only comes on the left side, inconvenient if you're flying from the right seat. Wish they had an option to buy a headset with the mike on the right side

  • @UPSav8or I've flown right seat using the Clarity Aloft for the last 2,500 flight hours in both GA and Transport Category aircraft. No problems for me with the mike on the left side.

    What aircraft are you flying?
