  • Sweet! :D

  • NICE LOL>

  • very funny but interesting.

  • Isn't it wise to increase the speed of your apparatus, so it becomes more stable when going faster? Maybe you could also steer it using the shifting of weights.

  • were is the hamster????

  • Lol, that's awesome

  • ok.

  • 5 stars

  • Hah, awesome. Regner makes great little steamers.

  • kind of a Tank :-)

  • It's funny watching that guy make sure the wheel doesn't fall...he's so intense.

  • @Delopolis Well, I'm that guy ;-) I'm not the best at hand-eye coordination, so yes, I'm "intense" when guiding several hundreds of dollars around... I was also running the camera (on a tripod) for part of it!

  • lol, you must've looked pretty weird walking your "Hamster" =P

  • This takes the idea of a portable layout to a whole new level.

  • Sure it's nerdy..but it's cool.

  • albino man...

  • @shoelaceisuntied I'm proud of my British heritage!

  • @pacman820 Pointlessness is the point ;-)

  • Okay, YOU'RE the dummy. Read the description, stupid - "This is a WHEEL-SHAPED TRACK". It means it's shaped like a hamster's wheel.

  • @ilyA7x Well, several people said it reminded them of an actual hamster wheel and the name stuck.

  • cool thing, really bizzare but cool

  • PUT HAMSTER INSIDE AND GET 50+kmh/s speed xD

  • LOL

  • what happens when u top the wheel but not the train?

  • Its like that that machine in "steam boy", the one uses to get away from the bad guys at first.

  • bie live do you mean its alive or it is remote controle.

  • live steam meaning that you accualy have to put water in it and light a fire, and operate it like a full size steam locomotive

  • ohh i loce it... this is so kiutt

  • not bad, how fast would it go on a clean base like a clear road?

  • nice job :)

  • Great LOL

  • Thats Great, A Loco With Its Own Track.

  • absouloutly fantastic a stroke of genius well done.

  • Oh my, did you really expect to see a hamster (like me)! It's the wheel itself being referred to as a "hamster wheel". Good work Mr. Wegmuller!

  • weres the hamster?

  • Odd, but interesting. Whatever gave you this idea? Must have taken a bit of careful soldering or welding to get the circle smooth enough for the little steam engine to run well enough. The out rigger bars was a good idea.

  • The idea came out of a discussion in a live steam forum The circle is made of 8 segments, each waterjet. The rails have notches into which the cross ties slot and then get welded. The segment are bolted together using special rail jointers (also water jet cut).

You can see up close pictures on my website. Youtube won't let me put a URL in this comment so just google my last name (wegmuller) and you will find my site...

  • lol. i love it!!

  • Now that's just silly! I think you need to be put in the loony bin.... I'll save you a seat.

  • sweet ride!

  • Nice. Is that the roughest terrain it can manage?

  • Yes, this is about it. The limitation is that the locomotive's wheels will start to slip as it tries to climb up the track when it enconters a tall obstacle...
