Clear Sky looses a bit the essence of the of S.T.A.L.K.E.R, at least the part of "Loner". THERE IS A SHITLOAD of people in the zone xD

maybe its because it happenes before everything, the zone isnt that bad as it is in shoc or cop. in cop you have a blow out every day. but cop sucked the most, they downgraded it. clear sky is just speechless, beats far cry 2 with graphicsby alot, and gave me the mood that i returned to the zone :) back in my turf :)

From what I've seen Call of Pripyat and Clear Sky are the two most atmospheric [mainly because of the superior graphics and lighting, honestly. Lighting plays a HUGE part in atmosphere].

@b0n3z3z Clear Sky is teeming with way too much life. The zone, being an unnatural and very dangerous place, should be desolate, especially in terms of human life. However, Clear Sky makes it feel like the whole Ukraine male population suddenly decided to move into the zone.

Also, try playing SOC in DX8 lighting. It actually makes a positive difference.

@thelastkert Well, really, if something sprung up that could potentially make you a billionare at only the risk of being killed by mutants [who in actuality wouldn't be too much more dangerous than wolves, lions, tigers, except for controllers, bloodsuckers, burers, and pseudogiants. those would be pretty damn dangerous.] or anomalies, both of which are easy to spot, and taken care of [well, for just about any mutant it'd be about at most maybe ten bullets to kill anything but a pseudogiant].

@thelastkert Not when one well aimed shot from even a .22 Long rifle could kill all but four of the living things you encounter in the Zone.

And you technically don't have to deal with Anomalies to earn money. You can become a hunter, guide, ecologist. Practically endless opportunity.

Plus, remember, many of the people in the Zone are simply running from a poor life outside.

Take for example, Psilocybin Muchrooms, that stuff really messes with all your senses, so alot would happen.

It would make you just get really relaxed with weed though.

Although I think the Loner faction is the best faction in-game, I do like Freedom for their friendliness and optimism. Duty seem to far up their ass to see they are the real problem of the zone. Next time I'm at the Freedom Base in CS, I'll be sure to listen to Ganja's tales of his world-wide adventures. I also found out that Orest, my favorite Stalker who runs the Loner outpost at the Agroprom station used to be part of Freedom but quit after they started killing Duty members. Such an idol.
