you can get universal HUD's on ebay for 150 ..measure oil,temp,and battery and speed and RPM..i got on in my third gen and its great.

If you just made one that added KR, Oil pressure, Trans temp, and an option for boost gauge, to the original hud people would be willing to pay for it I'd take one with jusr Kr

@killdac While I only show normal OBD2 parameters in the video, I tested the until with Mode 22 params like KR just fine :)

@joshxkilla Yes, but there are 2 problems. There's about $700 in materials there, and it would be hard as hell to mod your dash to get it to look right. It would certainly be a far cry from a bolt on mod. I considered a smaller version, but that really only solves the cost problem.

@seindich It's tough to see, even my stock one can go completely out in the sun though. You can fix this a bit by isolating how much of the screen is exposed.

@lHustonProductionsl i think its the instrument cluster. ive had problems with mine off my gp. i raced a trailblazer with a HUD and his read 128mph when i passed him. my gp still has the governor on it which says it stops at 110mph.

on my gp the hud says 59, the speedo says 61, and my gps which tells me how fast im going says 60.. so its both kinda but the hud is more right

@alincrys You are incorrect, such devices do exist, Nor is it VFX and do not try to argue couse its obvious your not a video editor. Firstly you do not need a green screen to make a fake hub in Most programs.

Man think about how futuristic it would be to combine infotouch technology with holographic screen film on the windshield and then cover the outer windows completely with plaster and then repaint and then cover the inside with glow lights and then put weather-proof HD cameras in the viewing portion of the windows, remove the factory gauge pods and layer the dash to a smooth finish, redesign the seating closer to the windshield, and use info-touch to view GPS, driving, music, and wala a 2030 car
