@blacklawlessd It looks like a Fender Telecaster thinline which the man is known to play from time to time. If you look at the video for the Rainbow tune 'cant let you go' you'll see Ritchie is also playing a Telecaster there as well but I dont know if its a thinline.
@brauntec He is playing the C major scale in different modes. He also plays a F# note along with it. There is a Japanese scale called ichikosucho which has C, D, E, F, F#, G and A. I think this is that scale.

He plays all sorts of different instruments, acoustic and electric and his playing is as brilliant as it ever was..try listening properly before making those kind of comments.
