Actually, less than 1/3 of the witnesses even said they saw a plane. A common phenomenon after an accident or sighting, etc. I am not sure about planes to this day. But just google Donald Rumsfeld and watch his historic speeches about lost funds of over $8,000.00 for every man, woman, and child in the U.S. Yep, 2.3 trillion announced that was lost 9/10/01. @MrTakeBackAmerica - uh, NORAD is a military organization dedicated to overseeing the Northern Hemisphere's skies with RADAR towers. They can only tell AFGSC when to fire missiles or the other air force bases on when to scramble fighters.
Also, they had tracked the errant planes and told it to nearby air bases who scrambled fighter jets immediately.
As for the multiple bomb theory, the crumbling came from the upper floors rather than the bottom so as the Mythbusters would say - "Busted".

uhm, that "paint" smoke trail ur seeing is from the cursor the news station was using to draw attention to the plane so that the viewers could see it easily. It was not a fake smoke trail at all. Watch the tiny cross-hair cursor and listen to the reporter. You people are really something. lol

It is exactly what they use to point out plays in football, soccer and other sports. You know those lines they draw on screen, it is exactly the same thing
