I wasn't taught anything, in fact I was an atheist until God found me. That's a huge stigma people think nowadays. I was at rockbottom and I was looking for a reason to live. Something happened and there is no scientific theory that can describe what it was. It was God, and no Atheist can tell me there is no God, because I have been forever changed. He saved me!:)

In Ephesians 6 it talks about putting on the full armor off God and extinguishing the flaming arrows of the evil one. Isn't that fighting? I am a staunch Christian, but this is friendly debate. :)
@Lil2lewlew God created us fight against evil. When Ephesians 6 said to put on the full armor of God, God meant for u to fight against the evil one as u said. People r not the evil ones but Satan. 1 John 4:7 says "Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God.'' So dont fight among yourselves just love.
I believe that everything has Jesus' name inscribed on it that is part of his creation even when it might not be very clear or recognizable to us. Music is, in general, inscribed with god in my opinion and it further continues his message that we are all in need of finding his truth that lies outside of ourselves and own reasoning. This song (and music in general) interpreted by many not only unites us as humans but can tell us something about our nature. In my experience, god unites like this.
I know there is all this religious debate, but have to realize that people have their own interpretations of songs. I am atheist, love this song, and it does not communicate with me in that way, in fact i feel no reference in the song to god. Stop arguing, and realize that what you hear is 'only what you hear'. Everyone is different.
I hate how all this so called Christian bands don't even mention Jesus and if they do they name him in one song on a 12 song album..I want real christian music that is about worshippin Jesus and bringing glory to God. We were not made to entertain the world but to tell them and guide them to Christ

But I also think that God wanted us to be entertained to and have fun and live in happiness, why wouldnt He? There are many songs about praising God, so keep on looking. It is OK to sing about other things, not just faith. Needtobreathe sings about life, love AND faith, I dont see how that could go wrong

@blopajmbar62 there are literally hundreds of Christian bands/artists who do. This is band who are more a band who are Christians rather than a specifically Christian band, similarly to Switchfoot and Tenth Avenue North

Still I wish I could escape the opinion of other people more because It's not like I don't care what other people think, especially when they're christians.
