  • this is amazing, thank you. there's still more. none of the text adventures are here. and amg where is m.u.l.e.?

  • Very good work, i can imagine how long it took you to put these 3 vids together. Thanks heaps :)

  • did you ripped the music yourself?

  • @666darkelf666

polskie gierki były niezłe - fred był świetny no i w robbo też szalałem.... była też jakaś przygodówka fantasy ale nie pamiętam tytułu...

  • have you got some links where we can download those games?

  • I'm guessing the Atari Max is a useful cartridge to have if you're a collector?

  • Am I the only one who liked Lords of Conquest?

  • Anyone know the name of the game where you played a ghost that looked like casper the ghost? It was released late in the 800xl lifetime.

  • I don't know why, but whenever I hear Atari 8bit sound, an old, rusty, and brutally big excavator machine comes into mind...

  • Man, the atari 8-bit was such an amazing console.

  • @algiasphere just a little minor correction: computer! and console (Atari 5200)

  • there was a game that you have to kill some virues inside a body but i cant remember maybe anyone that game was very stressing cuz heart beats

    (sry my spelling)

  • great 8-bit flashback! and I saw several games I had never seen/played before back in the day.

seems M.U.L.E. was missing?!?! one of the BEST all time ATARI 8-bit games EVER!!! NEED to get that one in there! ;o)

  • Cracking stuff, would love a Part 4 and go for your top 100! Lode Runner's Rescue make it in? ;-)

  • Good stuff ... we need part 4! With Aztec, Spellunker, Journey to the Planets, Wizard of Wor, Ball Blazer, Droll, Racing Destruction Set, Crush Crumble and Chomp!, War Games, Conan, Beachhead, M.U.L.E., Zombies, Spitfire and Silent Service :)

  • @buzzsaw21

Silent Service! YES! I spent sooooooo many hours and all nighters on that game! hide under the thermal climes!

also Ball Blazer/Ball Blaster - YES!!!

were there ATARI versions of Beachhead and Racing Destruction Set? I know there were for C64...

  • @pbs8879

Yes ... almost all "popular" games at that time were available for both the Atari 800 and C64.

  • thaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaanks

  • Do you know of any good Atari 130XE emulators I could run crownland on. Thanks for your time.

  • @ATARI800XLfan

OK I have tried running Crownland on my Atari XEGS (64 Kb RAM) via Atari Max cartridge - it seems to start OK, but the graphics is garbled. I believe this is because its a PAL game and I have an NTSC Atari. I get the same results through emulator. If you want to play it on the computer you can use the excellent Atari800Win PL 4.0 emulator

  • Just wondering do you know where I could get crownland, does it run off of cart or floppy. or does it use the sio to pc cable to emulate a floppy drive then load the game as a ISO in a way. Also how much memory does it use to run I only have 64K. Thanks for your time.

  • @ATARI800XLfan

What I use is Atari Max cartridge with my Atari 130XE and Atari XE GS. I would imagine you would need an 130XE to run Crownland. I can check and let you know.

  • @subj1 Thanks.

  • This has been a excellent Atari 8-bit tribute trilogy. Like how you show the names at the bottom of the screen. Too bad it has come to a end. Ending up buying a Atari 600XL with expanded memory thanks to your videos.

  • @ATARI800XLfan

Glad to hear that my videos had this positive effect:) Enjoy your Atari !

  • Nice compilation, but I still miss Aztec, Claim Jumper, Kangaroo, Popeye, Kaboom and more :)

  • I've seen games on this vid that didn't know existed on the Atari
