The same intro and outro was featured on all of the "Grampa Presents" titles. The only difference is Igor's voiceover of the film's title. Kind of a sham for anyone interested in collecting these videos, as I was initially.
Hey, Boomers: Remember when there was always a Friday Night Fright Night thing on a local station? (Ours was WKBW in Buffalo.) Saw some of the best so-called "B-Movies" ever on these shows -- "Mr. Sardonicus," "The Man With The X-Ray Eyes," "Black Sunday," (too creepy for me) and on and on?
Now it's just some fucking mutant running around hacking/chain-sawing/torturing teenagers who like to do normal naughty things.
Al Lewis had nothing to do with "Gremlins 2: The New Batch". The actor you're thinking of is Robert Prosky, who portrayed a similar type of horror host.
I met Al Lewis in the 80's at his restaurant in Greenwich Village. He lit my friend's cigarette. He was a righteous dude.

What would Gramps say if he ever saw Saw.

Al Lewis was really great at what he did with this character. Not a moment he slips out or goofs up.

Yes! and Chiller Theater.
I was permanently traumatized by Carnival of Souls when I was 12..... massively creepy in an unbloody way - the way all the good ones are!
