good tutorial but unfortunatly I couldn't concentrate because of the makers accent, I couldn't stop thinking about how nice it would be to squeeze his neck
Hey nice video I have watched it several time. One side question is I noticed you have a lot of tools on your tool bar and was wondering if you could perhaps do a tutorial on what they all are and how you can get them. I know some are stock in Sketchup, some are plug-ins you can get free from some websites out there and others are from rendering programs that cost $. So a real simple tutorial on that would be cool. Thanks much!

Thank you for the tutorial! I have Vray for Sketchup version 1.49.01. My problem is that it doesn't show me the render time when the image is finished rendering. In your tutorial in the minute 0:06:09 you show us the render time in the bottom of the image. Any suggestions so I can see that information, too?
i think you should first learn to talk ENGLISH before you make a tutorial on english language. and concentrate on explaining one thing not everything you know. oh and yeah, tutorials should be short and clear, not documentaries.
sorry if i ask,but i try to use v-ray with sketchup pro 8 and it crash suddenly i open option of v-ray, and i general it is very very slow!can u help me?

I didn't get the bitmap part, how do you make only a part of the image be reflective? how do you make those bitmaps? When im rendering im getting the whole surface like a glossy texture-less surface. It's my first time with vray.

Hi there, I was wondering how did you make the imported material as one of the sketchup materials ( wood picture you imported) ? I tried selecting by holding alt+click on picture but I was not able to add it to the material pallet.

You'd have a hard time to find wood with a perpendicular texture. It would have been better just to rotate the map by 90° :) Furthermore there are plenty of pictures of wooden floors on the web covering a few dozen square meters. You are always better off by making your own textures.

Great video! but I have a question, probably a dumb one: how do you get these two bars (red and blue) which modify sun direction? Is it a plugin? I couldn't find it in Sketchup...
