I use to have to same problem. Do you blow dry your hair? If not, I suggest you should. If you do, and if you take my advice to, I would suggest using a defuser. They work amazingly well, my hair has never looked better. most of them come with blow dryers, but if not, you could probably get one at your local drug store.

I will twist it along my hair line then stop twisting it when i get to my ears. Then i will tie it back or,when my hair was shorter i would keep twisting and take some of the longer hair behind my ears, then tie it back, into a half poney tail.

Make sure you get a small trim so that the ends of your hair are healthy and smooth. This will help to eliminate frizzy ends. I have curly hair and my ends always look frizzy if my hair is in need of a trim!

There is no magic product out there. you will have to go thru trial and error like many of us do to find the right products for you. vegetable glycerin mixed with equal parts water with a little peppermint oil or an essential oil of your choice may work. You can also use Jheri Curl products, Jane Carter work well. Use moistrizing shampoos and conditioners. For me Carol's Daughter, Talijah Wajjid and Pantene Relaxed and Natural were NOT good products.

I have the same problem. and if i use Heat Protecting spays it just makes my hair look greesy and ew. So help is definatly needed! Also my hair is extreamly thick and it doesnt always work with me. HELP!
my hair is WAY more curlier than hers... i can never get a brush thru it... unless it's wet and conditioned. If not, I wont brush it because it's just impossible. I'll wet it and brush it with my fingertips and apply gel or mousse. Girls with curly hair cannot wash it everyday either... some people think we are "dirty" for that, but it's just a rule of having curly hair...

Okay, I really needed to see exactly what implement she used to make that style, and she also needed to turn around so we could see how it looked. Was it a bobby pin? A side comb? I really couldn't tell. My hair is just like that and anybody who has that type and length of hair knows that not every hair barrette/clip/pin will hold that mass of hair.

I also brush my hair when its wet to smooth out my crown. I was always told that brushing the hair when it's wet was a NO NO! But I don't find more breakage.

And it doesnt really depend on teh type of hair, i have a very round scull, if I wear a ponytail, i look like a pumkin..
Can you show other, different hairstyles, with braids, and accesories... I think that would be more helpful.

try the sunsilk captivating curls collection they have a non crunch mousse de frizz leave in creme shampoo ect.
it works well for me it should work well for u.
note that the more mousse u use it might get a tad crunchy they also have a gel/creme twist.

I do 2 because since we have the same, thick, hair, it takees a while before were done our hair and put ur arms down so we get em' by doin r hair.

I have the same problem. and if i use Heat Protecting spays it just makes my hair look greesy and ew. So help is definatly needed! Also my hair is extreamly thick and it doesnt always work with me. HELP!

my hair is WAY more curlier than hers... i can never get a brush thru it... unless it's wet and conditioned. If not, I wont brush it because it's just impossible. I'll wet it and brush it with my fingertips and apply gel or mousse. Girls with curly hair cannot wash it everyday either... some people think we are "dirty" for that, but it's just a rule of having curly hair...

I agree entirely, I have a head of almost waist lenghth Shirley Temple curly hair. I love it! But it is a pain sometimes to take care of. But the true uniqueness of curly hair is something to take pride in. Embrace it ladies!

Okay, I really needed to see exactly what implement she used to make that style, and she also needed to turn around so we could see how it looked. Was it a bobby pin? A side comb? I really couldn't tell. My hair is just like that and anybody who has that type and length of hair knows that not every hair barrette/clip/pin will hold that mass of hair.
Ah well, at least she did actually put her hands in her hair, unlike the Gelila/Ford Models video.....

I also brush my hair when its wet to smooth out my crown. I was always told that brushing the hair when it's wet was a NO NO! But I don't find more breakage.

Oh my gosh people always told me that you can't brush your hair wet but they CLEARLY never had to deal with curly hair. Now I want to go around and kick everyone who ever said that. Brush dry curly hair would have you ripping your hair out of your head and leave you with an afro. :S

I actually never brush it... I dampen it and use my fingers to comb through.

shut up! I'm a black girl and I'm not offended so why should you be? Its just personal preference, and I think black girls do look better when they let their hair out instead of back in a ponytail, most women do.
