  • Of course, the real question is how long do they last between charges (how often do you have to crank them up?) I'm guessing that the answer is "not very long" making these pretty useless even if they don't break.

    Ultimately, you'll get the best results from lights that take batteries or have a real generator, powered by the bike itself.

    From deal extreme, the best deal in bike lights are items 35036 and 18307, or get 16501, 5790, 1251 and 8274 for a LOT of light at a good price.

  • Sorry to hear that they did'nt last long afterwards. I'm not aware of any "wind-up " bike lights that are made in the US or Europe, but I'm sure if there are, the quality would far superior.

  • A little late with my reply but thanks for your comment! Glad I could be of service. It's only too bad these bike lights turn out to be junk. I ordered three of them and they all stopped working within a couple of weeks. I'm back now using a bike light that works on normal batteries, not bought at Deal Extreme btw :)
