Well, it's not easy to get a good metal tone out of a single coil strat, unless if its HSH like some ibanez guitars and usually you can get an ok sound out of a SSH.

well if your just select the humbucker with the pickup switch and its a decent metal humbucker your tone should be good regardless of what the other pickups are

its a pinch harmonic just look up how to do them

It's called a 'pinch harmonic' or also know as a 'artificial harmonic'

Its when you first pick the note, then softly tip it with you're thumbs edge, then just vibrate the string with you're other hand and you get this CRAZYYYY sound ^.^

Its hard to do them, now about 30% of my tries work out well.. Its something you will have to practice over and over again, and something that you're parents wont like when your practecing that ;)

i saw a vid on how to palm mute (to correct my palm muting) and it sounds right but it makes playing way more difficult...

When you palm mute, you have to lay your right palm (if you are playing right handed guitar) on the strings while picking. It may make the playing more difficult, but you just have to live with it :P... There is also a possibility to mute with your left hand, by just laying your fingers over the strings, but this will give a different tone.

oh thx tbh i do both ways :) but wen i rest the right hand ont he strings, playing does become difficult.. and wen i use my left hand to palm mute, i sure get that different tone :o but the problem is my picking, cause my friend told me i'm picking wrong cause i pick usin my elbow.. so.. i'm tryin to improve my picking as well my palm muting in the same time
