  • Skinny Bitch , ima break this guy like twinkies

  • Check out my channel for his latest bullshit

  • tidbits of intelligence morbidly juxtaposed into unidirectional dogma. A contingent cesspool of nonsense which is indicative of a diseased edifice; epitomizing presumptuous arrogance in & of itself. Grotesquely erroneous, it is inherently biased & covertly offensive. This exquisite anthology of rhetoric & analytical jargon appeals to all parts of academic prestige, despite being devoid of commonsense. The error in its logic is systemic, thus catastrophic anomalies become expected possibilities!

  • And chemtrails don't exist.... Haha course not.

  • CHEMTRAILS! PROOF! This man is dangerous.

  • CHEMTRAILS! PROOF!

  • Ohhhh He is really smart

Maybe - one day - somebody get him a his corporate asssholes

  • Oh my god. Kill me before these idiots do. Haven't we learned any anything from the past century? Don't work for a temporary solution that'll give us a much more dangerous problem in the future

  • Thank you here is the number for wgn i just called them and told them we know and that they are complicit in the crimes for not reporting it share this number and tell everyone you know to call them i am!!! 1-773-528-2311 call now and everyday untill they stop spraying us

  • Fuck this guy he is insane!!!

  • @dan32749 he's only describing what's been going on for years already: the global chemtrail operations...we have been sprayed massively over the last few years here in Switzerland, and I know it's going on all over the planet...and the zombies don's see it...oh well, one day it'll all lead to chaos, just like my late pal Heinz said it would (and that's as of 1990). We've been lied to, big time, but people don't want to hear the truth, cause it scares the living daylight out of them!

  • @biocybernaut I agree 100% the truth will prevail.

  • This is an excellent idea! If we don't do this we're all going to fucking die from climate change. All you people who don't like this should pull your head out of your ass an realize that even if we stopped all emissions today, we would be heading for the worst case scenario of climate change in which billions would die and the developed world would become the new third world all because of possitive feedback loops in the climate that have already been set in motion.

  • @TheRoken123 They already do it, they have been manipulating the weather for years... They cloud seed to make it rain, they can make it snow, and they also have a SAG program = Stratospheric Aerosol GEOengineering (chemtrails)... the US patents office has the geoengineering patents in their files.

  • This is craziness! We've fucked up the atmosphere, so we'll fuck it up even more to fix it?! "But this works" Yes, in models. Certain models can also "prove" that bumble bees can NOT fly. Imagine that. "But this happens already in nature" Yes, and we are not nature; we have never done this, and you are already admitting quietly and quickly that there would be side effects. This is like me, pitching a battery acid transfusion to an HIV patient. Yes, the HIV would be gone...

  • I saw manbearpig in the audience!

  • This is all about chemtrails... fuck you dude, kill yourself.

  • The real issue, when looked at from a global perspective, is that the ozone layer over Antarctica has a hole in it that is now bigger than the land mass of the United States. This hole has had, and will have, implications for most life f...orms on this planet that could become catastrophic....vast climate change, wide spread destruction of plant and animal life, skin cancer and other cancers for humans....disease, virus outbreaks...rising ocean levels...the list can go on and on.

  • so he is proposing to induce a smal ice age, result is crops fail, millions if not billions die, well he and his offspring live so no concerns

    briliantly stupid idea

  • @adapaevolved That's not what he's proposing.

  • @Merany1

I wonder what would happen if people knew their were supemen all around us in disguise? You are entitled to you own opinion, but not your own facts. Arctic ice "shrinkage" (think George Castanza) is a well documented phenomena and it continues to shrink at a very fast pace and to an alarming degree. There may be no antarctic ice in the summer in just a few decades.

  • And he is just playing in the domain of the hypothesis, if, if , if... and meanwhile destroying everything!... And about the ice disappearing in Antartica, try spread lots of salty water (chemtrails use salts, don't they?) in the ice and then see what happens. They are using chemtrails since 1998 or around! How can they be surprised?

  • It is really sad that tax money are feeding scientists like this, and how we miss the extraordinary minds of many others of the past, like for example Nikola Tesla, who was saying: "Science is but a perversion of itself unless it has as its ultimate goal the betterment of humanity."

  • There was also a comparison he made when in an interview he says geoengineering is like chemotherapy... and so he has to study it in order to use it later if needed!!! He has a mad logic, because either he does not understand he his talking to human beings or he does not car a bit for human beings. Someone from a chemotherapy firm should have invited him to be punched with a new kind of radioactive particles in order to test a new chemotherapy machine, to see if it really works...

  • So, basically what this guy is telling us is: "people, science must be forgiven in any circumstances, and you have to assume the position of lab mice!"... And I would say that the best this guy should do if he is a bit interested in this planet is to by a gun and kill himself.

  • It's snowing in Florida and aluminum from chem planes are killing things and poisoning humanity. Shoot yourself, fagot.

  • chem trails

  • Obvious*

  • CHEMTRAILS>>>> the new US government's engineering initiative....canadian gov has allowed us gov to enter our airspace to contaminate our air with aluminum to alter weather and population control..aluminum kills!!...after the flow of chemtrails..all weather went to hell all over the world!! wake up people BIG BROTHER HAS HAD CONTROL for TOO LONG.....everyone needs to step up and rise against!!

  • monkey madness

  • This guy is a mass murderer. Geoengineering is happening NOW. Just look up in the skies!

  • aluminum and barium. skyborne. the damage has been done. good luck finding seeds. may the rothschilds, rockefellors, and federal reserve get what they deserve (and i don't mean in a good way).

  • The question should not be wether or not to do it. It should be why is this already happening? We have evidence from off the chart levels of aluminum in isolated areas where there should be none. This should be indicative enough of some sort of geoengineering that already persists. Why have we not been informed of this issue?

  • read white noise don delillo

  • david kieth is being funded by the microsoft king!!!!!? in which he is part of the machine that be.cant get more dangerous then that! i tip my hat off to z.d of ratm, one who does not give a mad *$#K about people that are full of greed ,evil, and have a agenda ,to depopulate, and have power.from the evil one,Jesus is KING!

  • no matter what we do to try to resolve 1 thing, it crates a solution and another problem.

  • what a bullcrap, major cities going under water... Amsterdam lies under sea level since its founding. ITs not like suddenly the water rises, it takes 100s of years, if temps are rising.

global warming is a fact, because it belongs to normal cycles of coolling and warming of the earth. We have, as humans, little or no impact on that. The sun does! Every blind an can 'see' that when he feels a summer or winter sun on his skin. A slight change in sun activity changes temps not a car for instance.

  • @0ceanline dipshit

  • @manfred500

lol sound like you got some brains...NOT

  • this guys a major douchebag, know-it-all academic. he thinks spraying aluminum in the atmosphere will be good for us. dangerous scumbag.

  • @FreedomAtRisk Yes I can hardly breath when they launch chemtrail operations.

  • @FreedomAtRisk he's just doing his job is all. he has done this to himself, let him. soon the fool stands alone. if not already.

  • pleasantly proven wrong by the end of the video, he talks about methods of forcing the climate to be relatively stable if only temporarily, a la obama bailouts for the economy, while focusing on long term reduction of CO2 as the fix, but with a bandaid included in the kit as needed

  • haven't watched the video yet but I'm going to guess the "solution" proposed is "ignore it" ?

  • Science is a religion.

  • @darinmaclachlan actually by definition it is not

  • I can beat global warming in one easy step also (even though it's not really happening we're cooling down) anyway...they say it's because of CO2 right? we need to get rid of the CO2 and cut down the CO2 levels and stop burning stuff as it causes CO2....WHAT DO PLANTS BREATH? is it really that fucking hard to come to to a clear simple solution to their supposed problem, "too much CO2 charlie what do we do" "plant more trees danny, you twat didn't you learn in primary school they breath CO2?"

  • @doiremick86 Some rough math:

Order of magnitude of human CO2 emissions (GT=billion tonnes):

    8GT of CO2

Which corresponds to ~2GT of carbon.

The total biomass generated every year in cultivated land is ~10GT of carbon. (existing forests create another ~30GT.)

You need to plant a LOT of trees. (increase current forest size by ~7%).

To understand the scale of this, consider that current forests occupy ~39 million km^2. So a 7% area increase would require filling up an area the size of Mexico+Texas

  • @Paulginz Good work dude you showed how little space in this massive earth we have that's required, there's plenty of space and plenty of tree's giving off seeds what's keeping them? I dare say peope wouldn't mind a few extra trees in their housing estates anyway not to mention the amount of land that they could go on. It's not a farfetched idea and it's such a simple one at that, in fact I'm shocked that it wasn't even mentioned.

  • @doiremick86 I don't think you grasped the scale. Covering 2.7M km^2 of land with forests every year to offset emissions ISN'T a realistic option. We'd run out of arable land in just 15 years.

  • @Paulginz That's only onbvious that you'll run out of space expanding the forest size every year, why not just get it to the size where it can manage to ofset the carbon rise? As stated everyone in the world can live comfortably in one acre of land and not take up any more space than australia. Plenty of room left over for trees and other veg...problem solved. It's not a far fetched Idea just an unlikely outcome because du pont and other corporations dicks are rammed real far up everyones asses.

  • @doiremick86 My understanding is that forests absorbs CO2 by growing. Once the forest reaches a stable biomass, the amount of CO2 it emits (through rotting vegetation) should roughly balance the amount it absorbs.

  • @Paulginz That's not possible unless there was a ratio of one tree dying for every one being planted, which won't happen because plants have hundreds even thousands of years of lifespan. It's logically and physically possible and is free to do, no money involved what so ever so why not just do it? There's no-one that can say it won't work, isn't feesable or will only emit the same amount of Co2 they absorb because it's not true or their lying through their teeth.

  • @doiremick86 Once the forest is fully grown, of course there will be one tree dying for every new tree.

The amount of biomass per km^2 of land used in the calculation is the amount for a fully-grown forest. Yes, it will take many years in practice for the forest to be fully grown after planting, but what the calculation says basically, is that EVEN IF we manage to make the forest grow really fast so that it absorbs CO2 fast and reaches it's peak in a few years, we STILL won't have enough land.

  • @Paulginz How? If every human being on earth can fit into a quarter acre each and only take up 4/5ths of Australia then there's obviously well enough land left over if a tree only takes up 1m-10m squared is there not? Not to mention that I know only planting trees isn't the solution we have to get emissions down anyway but it's a start and a cheap/easy one at that, then impliment magnetic energy and H2O propelled engine cars (water - for those who aren't into science) then it's logical.

  • @doiremick86

Let's try doing these back-of-the-envelope calculations from the point of view of trees.

The typical tree is going to have, as an order of magnitude, 1 ton total mass, 200kg dry mass and 100kg of carbon.

so, by growing that tree from a seed, you trap 100kg of carbon, or equivalently 366kg of co2. (since trees aren't the only things in a forest, you'd probably end up trapping more... but let's keep things simple).

So for every ton of co2 emitted, you have to plant ~3 trees.

  • @doiremick86

The average american emits something like 18 tons of CO2 per year... so they'd have to plant 50 trees every year.

Say a tree takes up 4m^2 (i.e. you have 1000 trees per acre). So you need 200m^2 per person per year. Since there are 300M people in the US that's 1200km^2 out of 9Mkm^2 total, or 1/7500. Considering that 18% of US land is arable, that's still 1350 years worth of land.

This contradicts my earlier conclusions, I'll try to figure out which is correct when I have time.

  • @Paulginz I get you yes...now what about planting hemp and other plants in between trees? If you dispute what I say there's a £10,000 prize for you to lift from Jack Herer if you can prove what I'm about to say wrong...Plant hemp, it releases the same amount of oxygen into the air as it takes carbon dioxide to grow the plant, closed cycle no excess Co2 and no proplems with rotting trees.

  • @doiremick86

Interesting idea. If you just let the hemp grow wildly, then eventually it will die and rot just like trees (but faster). However, if you use the hemp to make stuff (or just dry it and stockpile it) then you trap the CO2 and free up the land to grow more next year.

You can get 600 tons/km^2 of dry hemp from an industrial field. Which is about 300 tons of carbon or 1100 tons of CO2. So we'd need about 8-25M km^2 of land for the project, which is a lot but theoretically feasable.

  • @Paulginz If you use hemp it actually sets off equally the carbon release with oxygen release, water and cellulose are the only things removed when hemp fibre is made so the flowers and leaves also return the nutriets back into the soil and the seeds are the 2nd richest nutrient source for humans next to soy beans which = less land needed for farming also ;-) It's not farfetched when you keep it simple you see it's convincing the powers that be it'll work is the problem we face.

  • Gather together the earth council from Krypton before our earth dies from an infestation of humans and send our seed from an inlightened human specimen on a space capsule to another galaxie and solar system. LOL

  • Another shitty self-called scientist lying about the non-existing global warming when the Earth is cooling. Wait for this winter.

See 911missinglinks(com) for the truth about 911.

  • They are already doing this behind our backs without public consent...Its called CHEMTRAILS. Google it

  • what a dick

  • Oh hey I just figured out what this 'ash cloud 2 save nature' krap is. It is a segue 2 propaganda 4 global nuclear destruction. U C, the only way 2 'combat global warming' is of course 2 nuke everything, so there can B a 'nuclear winter' of ash cloud, 2 keep things nice n' cool, 2 'save the planet' & 'go green' =)) U know, 'green', as in a world with less CO2, so the plants all die, & cool, so the plants die, & without all those bothersome 'people' with their silly 'lives' - tsk tsk.

  • Global warming has been talked about for 50 years by environmentalists.

But, you know, environmentalists are jerks.

No one listens to tree hugger types.

So, let's make another CORPORATE PLAN to change the environment.

    And, we'll call it, "geoengineering."

After all, big business has a GREAT TRACK RECORD

    taking care of the environment.

--------------------- This ad was brought to you by Friends of BP ----------------

  • Why is the Sun never mentioned by these scientist as being a contributing factor to climate change. Back in the day hundreds of years ago when the earth was going through a global warming process the industrial revolution had not been invented so tell me what caused it back then? Horses and carts! Not bloody likely. We humans do however contribute to the pollution factor but all you hear about is CLIMATE CHANGE and we are to blame.

  • @ilovemymum777 The ONLY purpose of 'climate change' and 'global warming' propaganda is 2 convince people 2 tolerate a 'breathing tax' (CO2 rape). Nothing more & nothing less, ever. It is what it is. Call it what it is: taxation propaganda. "Save the planet! Kill yourself!" =))

  • I have a better idea. What "breathes' CO2? PLANTS. Grow more plants. Stop cutting down the rainforests and trees. Seed desert areas, turn the area into forest.

Over development of rural areas is not helping. This guys idea only reminds me of the sky shield in the matrix with to many uncontrollable "side effects."

  • I wonder why DAVID has a WASP sounding surname when in reality his surname is more likely Goldstein, Rosenbaum, or Levine?? Why is it that damned joos are always up to mischief and trying to destroy the world one way or another??

  • Thank god people arent believing these lying scum anymore

  • I think he's on speed.

  • my goodness.......

  • lol

  • Sometimes, men with ideas are dangerous.

  • Wow, you're smart. So smart in fact that you're little charts were all wrong. Pack up, beeyatch, The lie is over.

  • this man is dangerous he and bill gates of microsoft can kiss my butt! this geo-engeinerring is geo-cide,and they think they can play God ,but calamity and judgement will come upon those who hate God! stop the madness of spraying poison aluminum , barium! i will make sure i spread the word this is a madman scientist, global warming is a lie,

  • We could also try moving the Moon to a Lagrangian point between the Earth and the Sun. That should provide a stable and constant shade from solar radiation without having us having to do weird stuff to our atmosphere.

  • @Shadowstray - move the moon, yep thats the obvious thing to do isnt it, really not weird atall :)

  • This guy seems to have a pretty good idea about the pros and cons of geoengineering. It's not a real solution and it won't solve all the problems, but we should start considering it now. Not just because we need a safety net in case we fail to curb our emmisions, but because we have to start drafting global legislation for this stuff.

If we can't agree on how to cut our emissions now, there's no way we'll find a quick and safe solution to how and when to apply geoenginnering in the future.

  • David lives in Calgary, near the university...where he works.

  • Sorry that you all bought into a lie...

  • This is doctrine. Some of the worst kind. All you pseudo-intellectuals are only traitors to the human race. It is all paid for, hence has no value.

  • I've forgot to mention that the Canada's ENERGY-COMMISSION of the Senate invited him to suggest solutions for the ENERGY PROBLEM on April 20, 2010.... Shame the politicians who are either morons or too corrupted to have people like this influencing law-makers...

  • This is one of the lunatic scientists responsible for the CHEMTRAILS. I bet all his research is paid by Nuclear, Oil & Military related Companies, among others...

  • the ice caps arnt melting they are slowly moving, like they have been for billions of years, global warming is a natural process, we have had hotter times and colder times all throughout history...

  • This guy sounds like a villain in a Bond movie. 'Using science to control the weather, mwuaahahahaha'.

  • One concern I have with any sort of major atmospheric alteration is the issue of global dimming. Many studies have looked into releasing sulpher dioxide to do the same thing as ash in this case. I agree with Dr. Keith's theory on air capture and think that the best solution to the problem of climate change would be continue to reduce emissions, use technologies of carbon sequestration, and finally conservation. We must think just how much energy is essential for life to flourish...

  • Sir, I'm not a geo scientist, but I know what butterfly effect is.....please do not spread ideas which might have un-anticipated effects.

  • I call bs.

  • Other cloud seeding operations cause a developing thunderstorm to intensify over the target, severely limiting the enemy's capability to defend. The WFSE monitors the entire operation in real-time and notes the successful completion of another very important but routine weather-modification mission.

  • In the United States, weather-modification will likely become a part of national security such a policy, depending on its interests, at various levels. These levels could include unilateral actions, participation in a security framework such as NATO, membership in an international organization such as the UN, or participation in a coalition. Assuming that in 2025 our national security strategy includes weather-modification, its use in our national military strategy will naturally follow.

  • Prior to the attack, which is coordinated with forecasted weather conditions, the UAVs begin cloud generation and seeding operations. UAVs disperse a cirrus shield to deny enemy visual and infrared (IR) surveillance. Simultaneously, microwave heaters create localized scintillation to disrupt active sensing via synthetic aperture radar (SAR) systems such as the commercially available Canadian search and rescue satellite-aided tracking (SARSAT) that will be widely available in 2025.

  • From Airforce 2025 website: In 2025, uninhabited aerospace vehicles (UAV) are routinely used for weather-modification operations. By cross-referencing desired attack times with wind and thunderstorm forecasts and the SPOT satellite's projected orbit, the WFSE generates mission profiles for each UAV. The WFSE guides each UAV using near-real-time information from a networked sensor array

  • "Global Dimming" effects the hydrological cycle of our earth. So weakening our earths water cycle. Reducing rainfall and threatening fresh water supplies. By spraying reflective particles in the air by planes in the form of chemtrails is infact going to kill millions of people, cause drought and starvation, melt the ice caps, damage our lungs, kill wildlife, make animals extinct and mess our earth up for good. Stop chemtrails NOW. They are murdering bastards. Wiki "Global Dimming" I am right

  • "Global Dimming" is going to mess up this world for good.

  • i was going to explain how CO2 concentrations are increasing due to man from 300 ppm to 500 ppm (parts per million) causes global warming, but you guys are absolutely hopeless so

guy from office space at 11:10 FTW!

  • There is another source of Arctic ice melt we need to consider: thermal vents along the Gakkel ridge. See Nat'l Geographic's "Hotbed of Volcanic Activity Found Beneath Arctic Ocean" which says:

"Researchers discovered that, contrary to expectations, the exceedingly slowly spreading ridge is rife with hydrothermal vents and a hotbed of irregular volcanic activity."

  • CARBON NEGATIVE BIO-CHAR!!!! Eliminates organic waste stream, generates electricity, builds soil, and sequesters carbon!!!!! WIN, WIN, WIN, WIN....

  • the underlying point of this talk is the most important issue.. that being that we need to openly discuss these avenues for better or for worse. this is the case on so many issues. there is no real unbiased objective discourse to fan out the possibilities of action. only trumped up rhetoric and polarized opinions to fuel a fight of disagreement.

agreed or not u must investigate to say why yes AND why no.

  • Given that we only produce approx 3% of CO2 that makes up only 3.8% of the atmosphere, (our part is miniscule-

.003%) it is doubtful it has anything to do with climate change and we should be looking at other causes. This was going on long before the industrial age.

  • thats what im saying, there is a lot of hype with global warming, it sounds green and eco-friendly. so it sounds like its good for the environment. so it sounds like a noble cause. but its a mess. so much bureaucracy you can smell the scam. a global scam.

Also it gets involved with a noble cause, Pollution. Pollution is a real issue that needs some attention. Its every where. food, water, air, plastics...

we need to stop living like the world is how it is going to be, always living in the past

  • They are doing much better with the air pollution than they were in the 60's with the establishment of emission controls. I do think they can only do so much. We have more problems now with agricultural pollution like factory hog confinement systems, though.

The trash I see in ditches is also a serious problem. Sad to say it goes well beyond cans to much, much larger items.

  • (I found out I've got my numbers wrong; if I understand correctly now, we do produce only abt 3% of the CO2, but CO2 only makes up 3/100ths of a percent or .03%)

  • I'm glad he talks about the moral hazard at the end, because it's what everybody's been thinking up to that point.

  • Yeah that's the part you never get to see in the "mad scientist" caricatures ;)

  • This would be incredibly dangerous, the implications of something like this aren't even known. Humans cannot play god with the entire world, it would put every living organism, including the entire human race in jeopardy of catastrophe if something were to go wrong. He is right there does need something that needs to be done now, treaty wise, because like he said what is stopping another nation from doing this on their own accord.

  • that is exactly why we need to explore the possibilities och geo-engineering and find out what the implications might be.

  • this guy didn't wathc The Matrix....morpheus said it was us who darkened the sky because the machines ran on solar power....lol

  • Gross!! This is where the consensus of science gets dangerous.

If you want to do something about climate change, PLANT FRICKEN TREES! Sulfuric acid particles???? YOUR FRIGGEN CRAZY!

PLANT TREES, if you believe co2 emissions are warming our planet. Scientists are going to kill us.

  • bio-char

  • I almost can't wait for 90% of the world's population to be displaced by rising waters just so everyone can stop fighting like idiots over this issue.

  • Another heretic! He said nuclear power!!!

Now he is on the short list...for extermination :-D

  • It's all about cows farting. We must declare war on cows!!!

  • I wonder what would happen to the public mind-set if it became common knowledge that Antartica last year had record sea-ice and if the Arctic grew back to early 1990 levels over the next few years.

It would be very interesting from a

    phsycological perspective.

  • @Merany1 But don't U understand the only way 2 save nature is 2 reduce CO2, so the crops & trees starve & die from lack of CO2 2 breathe, & the food chain collapses, so us 'useless eaters' die post haste! So 'good 4 the planet!' =))

  • this phenomenon already has its name:

    GLOBAL DIMMING

Go funkying Google (or Wiki) it.

  • 'Climate Change' is just nuclear power trying to pin the weather on conventiona lpower.

  • When this punk was in college, he and his ilk were bloviating about global cooling.

  • Really inspiring. Major influence in my artwork.

    Thanks so much.

  • stopping "global warming" is about as likely as stopping continental drift.....

no i take that back.. there are two ways..

    a ryolite caldera vocanic eruption..

    or TWO caldera eruptions...

or maybe the Earths axis will shift but that would just change ceratin areas.. so back to the mega volcanoes : ))

  • nah it'll be easy

  • >stopping "global warming" is about as likely as stopping continental drift.....

    sez who?

  • says the sun.

  • Hearing voices much?

  • not from the sun...

  • You're one trustworthy random guy in the internet, you know? You oughta be lecturing on climate science, given all your expertise.

  • like you're any better?

  • Are you a professional point misser? Cos you're real good.

  • Just because I didn't respond to the direct point you attempting to make, it doesn't mean I didn't internalize it.

Yes, I'm a random person on the internet. As well as I don't have any direct evidence or direct reference that I could... refer... you to that would enhance my initial point any further. But I do know that I haven't heard a compelling argument from a scientist as to what's causing global warming. It seems that when evidence is requested, people just say watch Inconvenient truth.

  • Forget Al Gore and forget him good.

What gets to me is experts who devote their life to science getting absolutely no respect.

It takes real hard work to figure out good models for climate. This is not interior design we're on about. These are matters of fact, not personal taste.

And the stakes are too high for jokes and games.

  • What's causing global warming? Essentially the increasing industrialization -and consequent need for more energy -of the world, as in India and China, leading to more burning of fossil fuels. China is completing 2 yes two new coal-fired power stations per week! Also deforestation is having an added negative effect. The evidence is worldwide, melting icecaps and glaciers etc, and indisputable.

  • apparently, there are about 30 some Japanese scientists who can refute global warming....don't know exactly who, but I've read that Global Warming is a Trojan Horse for Global Government

  • blah blah blah blah. It's already too late. There is nothing to be done.

I might as well go party with my friends and try to bang women before I die.

  • If that's honestly the way you feel just end your life. Do not make sociaty hold you up during your belligerent waistful spiral into death.

  • My last comment was a reply to SeiteNichtGefunden. for some reason it didn't post it as a reply, rather as a comment on the video.

  • but I dont want to end my life. I want to party.

  • Thats great and all, but your actions have a bearing on everyone else and so you have a social responsibility for your impacts. I don't at all think you should just die, but you can have a good time and work to fixing our ways. It takes a minimal amount of effort. I'm not, can't and wouldn't force you to do anything, but the way in which people uphold responsibility says a lot about them. Think about it.

  • Sea acidification is a reason to control CO2. We really don't want the sea to go haywire; amongst other things it's a major source of breathable oxygen. I say: geo-engineer to patch over the one or two decades until we can switch to nuclear power and electric cars. Reducing CO2 will be a side-effect of better technology. There is no need to wreck the economy trying to put on the brakes.

  • lol, you have no idea what you are talking about

  • why would risky and limited nuclear be in any way more desirable then geothermal, solar, wind, hydro and tidal? They are renewable, require no or minimal fuel and have no large global risks (with insane hydro projects aside).

Nuclear is jumping out of the frying pan into the fire.

  • Talking about GW solutions that don't devolve into impractical tactics and sending countries we don't like back to the stone age? While I take *man-made* GW with a grain of salt and find *man-made* GW proponents to be condescending and intolerant of differing opinions, I find this interesting none the less.

  • ash in the atmosphere...?

    dude.

  • I read somewhere that painting all the roofs of all the buildings on the planet white will almost exactly cancel out global-warming...

Nevertheless, going green is the answer.

  • You are one bitter puppy.

  • "These "we gotta save the planet" idiots really make me laugh! People who buy into this crap make me puke."

the planet will do just fine, a million years without humans and the balance is back.

It's really about saving humanity, but perhaps you don't care about children or their children.

I guess you'll be 'puking' more and more as time progresses, have fun doing that.

  • its not just humans, a great deal of people feel a responsibility to biodiversity itself. I know events have devastated it before but would rather not be part of a problem that continues it much longer.

but your right, the planet would recover without us.

  • A lot of TED talks have this problem, but at least the abstract to this video (upper right corner of the webpage) is fairly clear, and I think that David Keith ends up giving a very good description of his idea. He is talking about injecting ash particles into the middle atmosphere to provide extra shade on the earth below. (BTW: Search google for his peer reviewed articles)

  • I think you'd like to realize that there is no 'S' in the abbreviation T.E.D.

  • I'll admit to being peeved that I don't know his plan, but figure that (once I re-sub) I'll hear about it in New Scientist eventually, even if it is just to say 'yeah, it was a bad idea' like he was saying in the video. Your reply gets a positive thumb, as it sounds like you have a brain now! :P (sorry, I've been reading a lot of religious discussions and brainless comments make me angry)

  • I read about this idea several years ago. So when he

was humming and hawing about it, I then began to ask myself "Is he talking about the giant sunshade?".

What I do know is: In science: There is no room for ambiguity, explain exactly what your hypothesis is as clearly as possible.

Leave the semantics and prose to the artists and alchemists.

  • No, he doesn't WANT to... He says VERY many times that his idea isn't the right one unless we absolutely NEED to instantly counteract the effects of global warming. I suspect the reason he never reveals the exact idea is because it's obvious what the basic concept is (a giant sunshade) and as it's not peer reviewed yet, he is just making sure people think about the option... Even if it is a last resort, it's useful to have one.

  • There is one guy in the audience whose laugh is just damn annoying. Made me want to turn the video off.

  • Canadians in the Northern Territories are pushing the USA to take the Polar Bear off any list because there are too many in their territory.

Plus, nuclear saftey is better than the mid 1980s its 20 years later people. Technology gets better with time.

  • There are too many polar bears on Canadian territory because the ice that the bears walk on is melting, forcing the bears to move inland and disturb the locals.

    Get your facts straight.

  • Remember nuclear power dreamed up global warming, to kill us all! Ecologists unite is signing our death sentance!

  • Sorry. GW is my abbreviatiopn for Global WArming. It was a fictional invention of the nuclea power industry to get new plants. Plants which kill and cpollute. Instead they should do molecular nuclear fusion, which is safe, cheap and clean: See my blog for details of MF.

  • research the H.A.A.R.P == THEN U WILL KNOW ONE OF THE MAJOR CAUSES OF WEATHER CHANGE!!!!!!

  • 5&F

  • More CO2 in the air, more life on Earth. More nuclear plants, more death on Earth! Global Warming was a newspaper title invented by NewsWeek, not sceintists.

  • Interesting he did not mention Chem Trails already in the skys thanks to commercial jet spraying around the world, and making us all ill? Then add H.A.A.R.P. into the mix, and that equals "mad" scientists....

    Chem Trails - H.A.A.R.P. - do a search

  • No matter if we solve Global warming or not, Western countrys still have a enormous consummation that just cant go on in the long run when China etc joins the party.

  • You title implies Global WArming is true. It SO isn't! THere si only 0.00037% CO2 in the air, which goes up in an ice age.

  • Oh wake up.

  • I did a PhD in all this stuff. If you argue with my facts, WHAT ACADEMIC LEVEL ARE YOU? sEARCH FRO 'jONtHM' IN YOUTUBE, TO SEE HOW TO DO SAFE, CLEAN, CHEAP NUCLEAR FUSION.

  • I have a bachelors degree in biology and a masters in physics.. and I don't believe you captain capslock.

  • I have a master's degree in engineering, and am part way through my PhD into GW. I convinced Prof Zimmerman, who has a double first from Collumbia. GW is just fiction from the nuclear industry to get new plants.

  • so, what's the surprising i
