I liked the fight because you may see the diferences, Kung fu (wing chun): a lot of more punches and kicks but not as precise as karate attacks. Karate: more completly done moves to end it with one blow but with lack of defences as wing chun.

right now the real gongfu is rare in china, cause it's too hard to learn ,few people can continue to do it , but it is real harmful the gong fu in shao lin. i once saw a man in shao lin use a little pin to break a solide glasse.

i think it's really hard to tell which is better it depends on the people fighting as a karate master who dedicated all his life to karate can wins against wing chun fighter and the opposite is possible

to really know which is more effective the people fighting I think must be absolutely equal in their skills so we can compare the martial arts not the fighters and finding warriors so good at both stiles and being equal is something you can't see every day

I currently am a student at Hung Gar Kung Fu and I would say from PERSONAL experience with Kung Fu that it is def worth it. Just to clear up the record as well "THERE IS NO BEST FIGHTING STYLE!" Just because someone that knows Kung Fu can beat a karate person that's only because they trained smarter and harder to develop them skills to go into battle and win. Kung Fu is not only about fighting it is a way of life! I would say just go to different dojo and see what you like best.

But Japanese martial art is also good as Aikido, Karate, Judo,..

Shaolin kungfu is king of Chinese martial art,so when mention to Chinese martial art, every one think about Shao lin kungfu.

i just had to comment when i see the title. I'd like to clear things out about 'Kung Fu'. It's 'Wing Chun' VS 'Karate'. Kung Fu is not a fighting style and certainly not only chinese. It can be anything you put effort and time to train. So a pianist, a painter can be said to have good kung fu. Basically, Karate is Kung Fu too.

And the movie was not to prove if any style is superior.

I have respect for all martial arts, but when Kung Fu guys come along and claim they'll beat anyone and when someone smashes their face in they very quick to make some excuse. I do think that Karate is a Good martial art although it wouldn't be my first choice. I Train BJJ and when my wrist recovers i'll take up Muay Thai again.

@BruceLeeroy63 Kung Fu is a great martial art, but some people instead of teaching the combat form they just teach ways to look cool. Wing Chun is a great striking system if you actually see it from your own eyes, also note that kung fu has over 300 styles of fighting styles and a lt of them are useless. Some great styles are wing chun, sanda and choy lee fut. They are a lot others but you can see people using those styles in a ring and actually kicking ass in some videos in youtube, look em up.
