My Nissan Xterra could have made it over. The Hummer H1 is the most outstanding off road vehicle on the planet.

Hummer H1 is a good off-roader but it's also too heavy. The weght of cars make a big differents on sand dunes.

2.the bigger the thread on the tires on sand means the faster you dig yourself down.

3.street tires do better on sand than mud,or all terrain tires because they dont dig down and still give you perfect traction.

the sand is a different driving skill. just stepen on the gas will not do it

Take at least 20 psi out of the tires and it will glide over the sand as there will be more tire contact. on full air any 4x4 will sink in. Trust me I am a regular Dune Basher.

you can let air out of any tire on any wheel. I run mine at 3 psi in my ranger in pismo and have never had a tire come off of a rim.
