  • @lessen1 No, Two different workout DVDs. Cardio X is a combination of Plyometrics, Core, Kenpo.

  • I just did the p90x plyometrics workout and boy did it kick my ass. I tried pushing myself through it but ultimately I gave up because my form kept dropping. I'm 5'8" about 125 pounds. Would anyone recommend any tips that would help me last longer in the workout, maybe a supplement, or something... Umm I'm not going to give up though. Gonna' continue on!

  • @MeerEarthlings This is just a super tough workout. You can check our site extremely-fit(dot)com for the P90X Recovery Formula, this combined with a good diet will help you recover from the workout faster. Don't get me wrong, you will still be sore, but it will help. I'm glad you are going to continue on, this will help too! Good luck!

  • @MeerEarthlings i weigh 200 lbs im 5'2 and do what i do push pause catch ur breath wipe of the galloon of sweat dripping and push play again other than that keep it up

  • @142vids I usually recommend that everyone follow the program 100% first time through. That way you can see what kind of results you get using just the program with no modifications. After you complete the first round, make adjustments based on your results.

  • Plyometrics means JUMP training, not SPEED training. I love (but hate) this Plyometric workout compared to the Insanity Plyometric Circuit. Definitely builds more lower body explosive power in P90X

  • I was so close to puking after this workout, but HELL it works!

  • Did this for the first time today and man did I love it. I actually pushed myself harder than i think i ever have in a workout before. Sweat through all my clothes, like drenched. Normally my cardio only consists of heavy bag work and Jiu Jitsu training. This was quite a bit different than anything ive ever done before.

  • after going all out for the first 30 minutes... i needed to stop, felt like throwing up and i would have if i kept going... lol

  • This shit isin't plyo, not even close, More about losing wieght

  • hot foot is the worst. seems it would be the easiest, but it sets my calves on fire aha. plus i have very flat feet so it hurts the balls of my feet A LOT.

    i finished it, and boy oh boy was it hard, i managed to keep up with tony and the demonstrators however i was sore as hell this morning

  • @dirtbikerpro It gets better with time, but its always challenging, because you can increase the intenisty by jumping higher each workout. Stick with it!

  • @agnoticism oh hell yah, i needed to slow down because i forgot to bring mine and would have been embarrassing cause i was just doing this at the park with all these people watching and would have been shame to barf in front of them.

  • "Plyometrics is the X in P90X" couldnt have said it better, this workout is by far the most BEAST workout on P90X, I used to play in a soccer team, and we had daily hour and a half workouts, I still play soccer but not in a team no more, I could only do 30 minutes of Plyo, It killed me, my legs felt like Jello, It takes me 2 days to complete it. This man talks, jumps around and laughs while doing it like nothing, Tony Horton is a MONSTER!

  • Plyometrics killed me the first time I did it. I was so sore that I had to start P90X all over the next week because I could barely move.

    I'm on week 4 now and can almost keep up with plyo. for me, kempo is a better cardio workout.

  • not trying to knock down plyo x or anything, kuz i use it and it works pretty good, but when he says "your heart and lungs are gunna kick the panties off anyone who doesnt use it" that is a great exaduration (spelling) , my cardio is still QUITE average, and i can do plyo x without dieing after the workout, but still a good workout over all, just saying that its not gunna make you a cardio god.

  • Anyone who knows how to train for sports, knows that plyo is what separates the men from the boys.

  • This isnt actually plyometrics. Its a good cardio though.

  • Ha...yea I guess its not ALL plyo. But squat jumps and the split lunges (Mary Cats) are definitely plyo. After all plyo is just a generic term for explosive exercises. Pro athletes do some insane plyo though.

  • Right...and you can modify most of these moves to meet your definition. If the average person did "real" plyo right off the bat, they would hurt themselves or quit from the extreme soreness. The jump squats can be modified to be "real" plyo by exploding as soon as you touch the group. My trainer used to call them Bulgarian 33s.

  • P90X plyometrics will make you sorer than the plyometrics a sprinter would do.

  • @DerrenBrown100 yes its true i ran track this year and our plyos are a joke compaired to p90x's plyos

  • Derren...Do you actually do P90X? You must not, because if you did, you would know that this IS plyo. It combines jumping, lunches and squats to improve your muscle elastic strength. This is what plyo is all about.

  • No plyometrics involve super fast muscle contractions. E.G- Depth jumps. Real plyometrics isnt done as a cardio its about quality.

  • @girldevl The contractions aren't fast enough on this. Type in- 'Linford Christie plyometrics'
