i had this phone for 2 years and it was ok. i kept dropping this phone but it survived. honestly this phone is good for ppl who like simplistic phones. but after 2 years, tmobile sent me a letter saying that i could upgrade my phone since my contract would end soon. so i upgraded my phone to a samsung highlight (ice) and it's a lot better than the samsung t619.
all you have to do to turn the external display on again is just hold down one of the volume buttons for like 3 or 5 seconds then it turns back on again. its alot easier then reopening it again

i agree with flyboy333 this phone is indestructible. i lost a new razor,the antenna broke on my new sidekick which cannot be fix and my sidekick 2 stoped been able to charge.but i had that phone before them all and is still kicking.water damaged steped on droped a million times and all.

I would probably say the Sidekick LX is better because he offers more features. But if it's a basic phone with camera and bluetooth you want this would be a good phone.
The Battery is pretty good it all depends on the user the more you talk and text the short the battery life.
The phone does have an MP3 Player. T-Mobile does not include a USB Cable or Stereo Headset for you could transfer or listen to music. To add music simply bluetooth songs to your phone it will hold a couple of full length songs.
the phone is a piece of shiyat. All the feature in the T-mobile version are locked out.. y ou have to buy all the MP3's and ringtones from Tmobile. I also brought this another country and put in a simcard and it was locked. Fyou tmobile. I had to unlock it when I got back to the states.. why lock a fricking quad band phone. This the last time I buy a stupid American market phone. Fyou tmobile.

Heres the way to get your (no more then 30 second) mp3 ringtones to work on your 619. It works! Now...this is after you've sent and saved them to your "My Music" folder. Have fun!
i just this cell phone from t-mobile. there's no software for the cell phone to attach it to computer. however, you can buy the usb thingy from samsung' website. and yes it only comes with the charger and the hands free. :D
Hey ive had this fone for about 4 months..pretty good phone, i agree on the volume issue....just a thought to display the clock again when the phone is closed....just hold the left hand side button on the side for a couple of seconds it should display back up....thanks for the review.

Instructions for the Samsung SGH-T619... the ways I know anyway.
ONLY if you have the Scott Stapp song that was included with the phone:
1. Bluetooth/data cable song into your Music folder on your phone.
2. On the phone do: Menu > Settings > Sound Settings > Incoming Call > Ring tone > 'Music'
3. Select the Scott Stapp song as your ringtone.
4. Immediately go back into the Music list and select the song you want. (When you hit select nothing will happen)

i went threw 2 also. it drops my calls. when sending a message it repeatedly says RETRY. and sometimes i cant make outgoing calls.
