  • I like this moving camera so damn much!

  • he makes that overtake look very easy

  • DRS should be enabled only on boring tracks such as Abu Dhabi, Bahrein, Barcelona or Hungaroring !

  • look at the differences in speed 0:15

  • now we need to push...box the end of this lap..xD

  • Alonso is easily the best driver on the grid

  • the camera angles at silverstone were so sick

  • F1 is boring these days, with DRS and KERS it isn't made any more exciting either. It's all about technology, who's got the fastest car and who can come up with the best pit stop strategy. Take a look at Vettel, he makes the whole thing boring since his car is faster than anyone else and their team probably has the fastest pit stops. He gets there, the car helps him smash everyone to get to the front of the grid, then races infront of everyone the whole race, which takes hardly any skill at all.

  • @niteterror2k7 Despite the fact that he set his car on pole position at Hungary and Suzuka despite the McLaren being the quicker car.

F1 has always been about the cars. Look at '92. Mansell's williams were over a second a lap quicker then the rest for the whole season. Same story with Ayrton Senna's McLaren in '88. The gaps were much larger back then. Today the gap between the cars are only a few tenths.

  • How do they get these camera angles....sick!

  • @sinister0083 They use a camera on a wire system

  • starting at 0.15 sec of the video great camera coverage !!!

  • U do know Lewis had to reduce engine map to save fuel?.

  • @TheBlender3dJedi This was long before he had to save fuel.

  • @supercas46 Martin Whitmarsh told you? Nobody from us (fans) know that.

  • @5K4L4 Well you don't know if Alonso was either, do you? After the race Whitmarsh said the reason why Hamilton had to slow down at the end was because he was going faster than expected at the start when this action took place.

  • Grande Alonso

  • grande alonso!!!!

  • F1 has become a farce! If you suck at overtaking others, all you have to do is wait for the DRS zone, where the driver in front becomes a sitting duck! FIA clearly wanted to level things between real racers and average drivers who now come across as fantastic overtakers. What a farce! Compare these overtakes with the ones Hamilton and Montoya used to do before this cheating device was introduced. Look back at what Lewis did in China and Germany. Overtakes without DRS! That was real racing!!

  • Give them a Red Bull and we will see who's better!! Vettel, Hamilton or Alonso :)

  • @Straatmaan Alonso of course!! To bad Kimi is no longer in F1!! Give him a red bull car and than u'll see :))

  • @GORANJAMES2 I agree Hamilton is just a nervous jerk

  • @Straatmaan Kubica :)

  • @Straatmaan Alonso !!

  • @Straatmaan Alonso ofc

  • @Straatmaan Alonso, of course!!!!!

  • @Straatmaan

    1. alonso

    2. hamilton

    3. vettel

    in a red bull

  • @Straatmaan 1º ALO 2º HAM 3º VET

  • @rOdRiIi69 button proved to be better than hamilton this year

  • @CO0L90 Yeah, you're right. But even having been better this year, I think that HAM is better than BUT, anyway every person can think a different thing because both of them are a good drivers

  • @CO0L90 but hamilton beat him 2010 season and button beat him 2011 season so what is the fuss about.

  • @CO0L90 Button is not even in the same league as Hamilton and Alonso, let alone being better. Yes, he´s had his best season ever in contrast with Lewis´worst season ever, but that doesn´t mean Button is better. Massa beat Raikkonen for two seasons in a row, does that mean that he´s better than Raikkonen??

  • @Euclides287 When did Massa beat Raikkonen 2 seasons in a row?

  • @terkmadugga Massa beat Raikkonen in 2008 and 2009.

  • @Euclides287 In 2009, Massa had his crash. Which obviously meant Raikkonen got more points. So, no, Massa didn't beat Raikkonen 2 seasons in a row.

  • @terkmadugga Well, Massa was way ahead of Raikkonen in the drivers Championship before the accident, there´s no doubt he would have finished the season with more points then Raikkonen if it wasn´t for the accident. That´s why Ferrari chose to keep Massa instead of Raikkonen.

  • @Euclides287 Well first off you should have clarified. You can't just take half a season to be a representation of a whole season. Just because someone starts a season strongly or badly, doesn't ever mean that they will carry on that trend throughout the whole season. Schumacher started his season terribly in 2006, but in the second half was undoubtedly the fastest. And to say Raikkonen left because of that was incorrect. HE wanted to leave.

  • @terkmadugga - Schumacher started the 2006 season terribly? In the first half of 2006 he finished on the podium in all but 2 races. How is that "terrible'? And Raikkonen was sacked because he wasn't good enough, Massa beat him on wins, poles, and points in their time together at ferrari even though Massa's salary was 5 times less than what Kimi was getting paid. That's frankly embarrassing. Kimi didn't choose to leave, he was paid so he could leave(i.e fired).

  • @Anime998877 Ok, bad example. All I'm saying is Massa didn't ever beat Raikkonen 2 seasons in a row. You can't count half a season as a full representation of a driver's entire season.

  • @terkmadugga And following from that, sorry for saying Schumacher had a bad first half of '06. But what I meant to say was that if he had carried on the whole season like he did the first half, he wouldn't have been anywhere near the championship as he was when he upped his game in the second half. Just trying to say you can't look at one half of a season and know for sure who's going to win the WDC.

  • @terkmadugga - Schumacher didn't up his game in the 2nd half of 2006, the car did. When the car finally became up to par Schumacher was able to win more than half the races in the 2nd half of the year but in the first half renault were way too quick to do anything about it.

  • @Anime998877 Raikkonen was ignored by Ferrari after Todt left, Not Kimi's fault that italians are assholes, Look at what happened after Massa was hurt, They had no choice but to listen to him, and look what happened, regular podiums and even a race win. In a F60, hell even the enginers couldn't beleive what Kimi got out of that pice of tin

  • @8911145533 - Even in 2007 when Todt was still in the team, Massa was consistently a match for Raikkonen and led Raikkonen in the championship for most of the year despite having to drive 3 races from the back of the grid and being dsq in canada until his mechanical failure at monza, which put him virtually out of the championship and ferrari favoured kimi from then on. Raikkonen clearly wasn't good enough, Alonso has come to ferrari and made massa his puppet, raikkonen could never do that.

  • @Anime998877 Because Massa isn't allowed to be faster than Alonso, None of the Ferraris Kimi drove where built to fit his driving style, way to much understeering. Something that Massa enjoys and Kimi hates. THere was no nr 1 driver when Kimi was at Ferrari either, besides Massa was outperformed regulay by Raikkonen in 2007, and despite his dissapointing season in 2008 Massa wasnt destroying him. Look what Kimi did to Montoya for example, a driver i rate higher than Massa.

  • @8911145533 - I find it hilarious that you say the ferraris from 2007-2008 didn't suit Kimi but conveniently ignore that the 2005 mclaren didn't suit Montoya. Raikkonen had no complaints about the 2007 ferrari, his only complaints were with the 2008 one. In 2007, kimi's first year at ferrari Massa and Raikkonen were evenly matched, and raikkonen ended up winning because after italy he was favoured. In 2010, alonso's first year at ferrari. Alonso scored double Massa's points. End of story.

  • @Anime998877 And how do you know that that car didn't fit Montoya?

  • @8911145533 - Because he complained all year about it. He had to add several different parts to attempt to make the car more understeery.

Look, I don't think Montoya's better than Kimi, he's not. Kimi was clearly the better driver at mclaren as the results show from 05-06. And at ferrari as the results show Massa had a slight edge on Raikkonen with more wins, poles, and points from the start of 2007 to Hungary 2009.

  • @Straatmaan

    1. Alonso

    2. Hamilton

    3. Vettel

  • @Straatmaan Vettel, Hamilton, Alonso.

Here's the reasoning, Vettel is the fastest driver right now, Hamilton is a crash kid, and Alonso is at his best when he has a bad car and has to drag it around like 2011.

  • @Straatmaan give them a mclaren

  • @Straatmaan obviously hamilton

  • @Straatmaan Give Kimi that Red Bull and he will destroy all of them

  • I loathe DRS, defending has been effectively thrown out of the window now.

  • @nitroboost8765 I totally agree with you. Its not racing anymore :(

  • @LeFonzi Yep, no denying it was a good drive by Alonso at Silverstone, but nobody can defend at all these days...

  • @nitroboost8765 Weren't you paying attention in the last race at Korea when 5 cars were nose to tail in the last few laps? Hamilton defended against a faster Webber which allowed Button, Alonso and Massa to catch up.

  • @AccordGTR I did, that's been about the only successful defensive drive all season by anybody, all the rest having been in Monaco...And nobody had a tyre advantage, like Alonso did here...A good overtake, but DRS had a huge role to play.

  • @nitroboost8765 Completely agree. The worst thing about it is that there are no big surprises anymore. All the DRS does is just filter the quick cars to the front. Means that no matter how good a performance from a driver in a Mercedes, Sauber, Force India etc they cannot defend themselves from a car with a significant performance advantage. With these Pirelli tyres it's DRS is completely uneccessary.

  • @GeoffLe0pard Yeah, it took a spirited drive from lewis Hamilton in Korea just to hold off the DRS powered cars behind, not to mention harvesting KERS for the entire lap just to use it on the straight.

  • @nitroboost8765 Schumacher at Monza showed that you are not right : )

  • @brzezio96 That's because the Mercedes' has a very impressive straight line speed...And Schumacher is Schumacher.

  • @nitroboost8765 RBR also had very low speed in comparison with Ferrari but Vettel could ovetake Alonso ; ) and Button also could overtake Schumacher

  • @brzezio96 The RBR is a very, very aerodynamically efficient car, I think you probably know that...Anyway, your point is?

  • @nitroboost8765 Hmmm. I'm not sure xD

  • @brzezio96 Lol, thought as much...I was quite confused myself

  • @nitroboost8765 kinda ironic your user name is nitro boost lol, I feel like F1 is just one step away from some that stupid, but yeah I agree enough with this press x to pass bullshit

  • @fistacuff56 Yeah lol, don't let my user name fool you, I'm a motor racing purist...I disagree with the concept of DRS, KERS is acceptable considering both drivers can use it wherever he wishes to on the circuit.

  • @nitroboost8765 That happened before then, with the swerving regulations. DRS is just a continuation.
