@PaxArcanum its important to the extent that those of us who spin when shopping know exactly the type of sound we are purchasing. Listening before u purchase was not always an option. Categories have their function. And yes this is "dark" but not darkstep. Jungle/drumfunk
How many of the MBs are devoted to the subtle changes in the photo? & why? Love the music! could have downloaded quicker if it weren't for those extra MBs!

This tune came out back in 1997 there was no such genre as Drumfunk, the 2step Techstep sound of Ed Rush & Optical was the predominant style back then until 2001, Breaks are considered old skool & part of Jungle until the more PC term of DnB came along in 96 as the Jungle sound was phazed out thanks to tunes like Pulp Fiction which made Jungle more commercial from the mid 90s as the major labels moved in
Time to get paid & we all know that means the music gets watered down & turns everything to shit, look at hip-hop from 94 onwards, once the Djs sell out to to Sony/Warner/BMG all they care about is keeping them sweet to collect their pay cheques rather than pushing the underground music, like Hip-Hop Djs Dnb Djs are guilty of this too
Sorry for getting on my pedestal but I love music & hate seeing it turn into garbage as the story repeats itself, does the term Sell Out exist today? I think they call it Playa Hating or some bullshit

Drumfunk is Drum & Bass but it has Jungle & Darkstep movements in it. Still this tune is good.
