@Assi2004 Do bikes serve but one purpose ? It cost about 0.05 cdn cents to "fill" an 8ah battery .. That 8 ah battery can help you along 40+km

if u can "drive" somewhere with this thing, ur going to be able to do so without the motor just as well

that saves u money and is very healthy :) (the initial costs are high + battery's limited live)

I have a Mini 40 Mile Busettii bike and it runs 50-55 miles on one battery charge. I also tried my friends Vortex Mountain bike by Busettii. It ROCKS ! Can get up to 32 mph top speed, and on one charge that bike set the new record of 86 miles. Hope it becomes a big hit. In California many people like Busettii because they cost around $1700 but can go 50--86 miles on one charge depending on model. Maria in Cali

Nice bike. Where did you get the kit? I assume its a hub motor... My initial battery purchase was SLA just to keep the price of my kit down. 73 bucks for 18 ah vs 300 for 20 amp hrs of nicad ...I had to go with SLA. My bike got me 20 miles today with a pair of 1 hr charging sessions during the day. (1.5 amp charger).

hello,

sla batterys are reall not the best choice. sla,s (sealed lead acid) battery's get damaged as they loose charge ,and need to be recharged soon as possible . Not to mention weight and size.If you have the extra cash go for nicad or nimh. Solar is simply not efficient enough to charge your bike as your driving, if you wanted to build a base station at home thatvwould be cool..

NiCads are horrible.

SLAs are heavy, but they're cheap, and they're easy to charge.

Either get SLA or NiMH.

Slas are not only heavy but theere also large.They dont deliver the rated ah and dont last long( 300 cycles ).They also need to be charged the second your done using them. I still have a 4 year old nicad pack that delivers the rated ah. Today nicad and nimh are way too expensive when compared to lipo. Cyborgtroy how long you been doing this ?
