You don't include reverse gears, so it's just a one speed. A hydra-matic gearbox is an early form of automatic transmission, this one is a simple two-gear (forward and reverse) manual dog-clutch transmission. Pretty basic but it does the job! There's a video on his channel of him actually building the gearbox if you're interested.

I'm a little concerned that the engine may overheat, because radial engines are air cooled and usually right behind the prop of the aircraft, and in this car, there's no prop to move large volumes of air across the cooling fins.

The shape of the car does prevent a lot of airflow while driving. It blow backwards! The hot air blow into my neck. Therefore installed a firewall recently.

There are also some fan installed and a huge oil cooler beneeth the car body.

Have several electic fans if drive slow and if drive fast, the body shape of the car provides enough cooling air. Also big under-car oilcooler helps reduce the heat.

Schätze mal, dass du den Motor auch erstmal neu aufbauen musstest, oder?

Und musstest du die Goggokarosserie verstärken bzw. inwiefern?

Bei dem Drehmoment hätte die normale Goggoschale wohl nich lange gehalten, da denke ich ja auch der Motor schon was wiegt, oder?

Der Motor ist von einem Agrarflugzeug. Zlin Z37

Die Karosserie vom Goggo wurde nicht verstärkt. Es sind nur die Verstrebungen vom Motorring zur Bodengruppe, die den Motor vorne halten. Hinten stützten 2 Gummipuffer das Flugmotorgetriebe zur Hinterachse ab. Das Differential und meine selbstgebautes Schaltgetriebe ist fest mit der Goggo-Bodengruppe verschraubt. Kannst auch alles auf meiner Homepage in den Bildergalerien nachverfolgen...

Been looking through the photos on your site, are you using a torque converter or a centrifugal clutch? i presume that theres only one gear forward and on reverse, is that the same car as the one with the FZR engine? Hope that this one is another because the bike powered one is too good to disassemble!

This is another goggo-car. The FZR-Goggo is street legal and in daily usage.

I use a "turbo-clutch" in this Radial Goggo.

It does transmit the torque by oil, but it does not raise the torque. Actually the engine has enough torque...

A turbo clutch is a simple design compared with a torque converter.

The car has a single forward and single reverse gear. It can accelerate up to

200km/h forward without interruption.

The tires have a limit, therefore I won`t

let it go faster.

That is German numberplate for old vehicles. Usually the car should have original condition. But there are few exceptions, e.g. make technical improvement, which saves the environment. I removed the old 2-stroke engine and installed a clean 4-Stroke.

This car will pass the legalisation and will

be common on German roads. Then will use black numberplates.
