this method doesn't work with my 1 gen ipod touch 2.2 firmware i think it might be because i used iutilities to change it already but i have no clue i turned wifi off so that wasn't it, said failed to save file strings

lol wait mabye i didnt explain well, ok i restored my ipod then i downloaded the newest version of customize (2.2.1-1) then i SSHed into my ipod then switched the folders and i still get the same error "failed to save system strings"

maybe i didnt explain well the customize in cydia was updated so it will work Try uninstall one you have then just add one form cydia see if it working for ya if not let me know I will figure something out for ya :)

I gave up. I just use winterboard to change my strings. Cant change all of them but oh well. Slide to unlock is all I am really worried about. But cool shit man, you always find a work around.

I gave up because the only strings I really need to change is my lockscreen, and I just change it with winterboard. Personally I have no need or desire to change the rest of the strings. My band mates however are watching this video and loving it. They are into string madness, lol.
