Ironically Wang would have been the only star trek actor to successfully be able to receive another role afterwards in Hollywood cuz the American or general western culture would pretty much and easily forget his role on voy and just consider him another "Asian actor".
@mpdalyful at the start he was a lowly ensign. although stuck with that rank for obvious circumstances, had he gone through all he did in his home qudrant he wudda been captain by the end? so you ask what progression? .....having been informed he was not human...having been duplicated , attacked by 8472....captained his own ship....and much much more, met tom etc, and u see in the alternate timeline that all this experience has allowed him to become a hero 15 years down the line!
@seven7ofnine In season 7, Kim said to Janeway that by that point he would probably have risen to Lt. Commander on some other ship. Only so many command positions on an Intrepid-class starship.
Damn. I wish all the best for him. I hope he gets more work and gets more kisses on scenes - and a writer will HOPEFULLY make up for the not-getting-7-of-9 fiasco and write him with getting with the hot blonde chick! Well, a Star Trek cruise ship sounds like Risa (spelling?).
I think Voyager is more even ike pure fun to do, they have every episode something totally new and I also think they have chosen guys who are even mentally already connected to what their characters like, have fun with, are interested in their own life....als when you look at the "non-white" actors, also Beltram seems like only being an 100% alter ego of his ST Character...or they are simply even better actors then all the Oscar winners where you know, they had nothing in common with any role.
Robert/Paris looked like he was wearing the jacket from Rocketman Serial from the 40s ( Zombies from the stratosphere etc. ) also which had Leonard Nimoy as an alien from Saturn
This guy was a genius at conventions. I was lucky enough to see one of them as a kid. I remember someone asked him how much money he makes - then another guy got his little girl to ask the same question later on - it was hillarious.
very true...hollywood really does take star trek for granted I mean Star Trek launced the careers of great actors we know today such william Shatner, Brent Spiner of course some of the se actors were already established but it helped to bring them into a new place for fans to apprecitate them and their previous accomplishments. mwah luv ya Garrett thank you for playins such a fun and interesting character in a show all scifi fans love to see over and over
I always imagined the Delaney twins' first names were Janey and Lainey.

Garret did a great job and actually cared about his character progression.
