You must not have been following the diet portion of the program. If your diet stays poor (and most people eat a poor diet) then any exercise program will likely make you hungrier and you'll end up consuming more calories. You need to COMBINE the exercise program with a good diet (especially a protein rich whole food diet) to see the kind of results that people are boasting about in the transformation videos.
It's no good running 5 miles a day if you "eat 10 miles a day."

Yea that actually sounds like a great combo. You need the protein especially because you are lifting weights and you also need the carbs right after the workout to replenish the glycogen. Message me if you are looking to get the recovery drink.
Hi, awesome video... one question not sure if you'd know the answer. Me and one of my roommates were considering doing this. The only problem is we work full time 3rd shift (11pm - 7am, 40 hrs/wk) and I also attend college 12 hrs/wk. Currently I find my schedule tiring, just barely being able to manage it. Would this program be achievable in my situation? Would it wear me out worse or give me more energy?
@littleonetwo in the beginning it will be kind of hard to do work out one hour daily especially when u r sore from the yesterdays workout but once u see the results coming, believe me you will rather enjoy doing all these workouts...
The pullup bar does not damage the doorway. The recovery drink is not a protein shake. A protein shake is made of whey protein which has lots of protein and low carbs/fat. The recovery drink has higher carbs to replenish glycogen storages.

Recovery drink is a 4:1 ratio of carbs to protein meaning for every 4 grams of carbs there is 1 gram of protein. This speeds up the recovery process of muscle and restores glycogen levels. Its not necessary but it does help.

it's on the BeachBody website, all their supplements are bit overpriced though. That's how they keep making money after you buy their program. I'm not trying to bash them, but it's just the way marketing works.

during the p90x process will it help you lose weight off the face as well as your body. For ex. if you have chubby cheeks will the p90x help them slim down?
Overall, yes it will help the cheeks slim down. When you burn fat, it is impossible to choose where the fat comes off first. Your body will burn fat from wherever it is most needed first.
If you want to just use the bands for lat pull downs then you don't need the pull up bar. But if you want to build strength then I suggest a pullup bar.
Its not that bad. I buy everything I need for the week. Then once a week I will cook and premake all of my meals for that week so it is easier that way.
Thanks for the vid, I just ordered P90X! I have a pair of 20 lb dumbells and two bands, but I want to use the dumbells primarily. I figure I need to get maybe 1-2 more pairs -- is this correct? How many pairs (and what kind of range) of dumbells do you realistically need to do P90X?
I got through my first round of p90x with only a pair of 15, 20, and 25s. I recommend starting with this kind of range then if you need to get heavier or lighter you will know what to get.

Haha yea its atleast an hour a day, 6 days a week. Not easy work but if you are committed to it, you will see fantastic things. I have done 2 rounds of P90X (About 6 Months)
