This type of smoke only comes from an electrical fire as I also witnessed (and had to help put out) while in the NAVY. Having been in the belly of one of Carvinals ships, logic would tell anyone passengers were served the Non-cooking required food - like the produce, bread, canned goods etc. The fridges alone would take a week to warm up. No passenger was served SPAM or PopTarts.
