Did you know that a low pressure gasses exhibit a negative resistance under excitation, meaning the more current you put in the lower the resistance gets hence more current is drawn. I dont think you have anything more than a real expensive plasma globe... sorry!
@element2310 Depending on the pressure regime, the gas becomes rarefied enough that kinetic theory suppositions are no longer true and a fusor is closer to a capacitor than a resistor in terms of behavior.
Regardless though that doesn't preclude having high enough ion energies to overcome coulombic repulsion and actually get fusion. Feel free to look up peer reviewed literature if you don't believe me; the fusor has been around for ~50 years, it's nothing new.
